Ellie was thinking about legs.

She was thinking about legs a lot. About Mia’s legs, and what Mia could do with her legs.

That Mia could use legs to have sex.

Ellie had never imagined such a thing was possible.

She’d just never thought of it before, she supposed. She’d never needed to, not until she met Mia. Not until Mia started doing the things she did to Ellie, and saying the things she said, and implying there was this whole hidden world that Ellie had never known was there.

A world that seemed, an awful lot, to revolve around Mia’s legs. At least to Ellie.

Because although Mia did other things, with her hands and with her mouth, those were things Ellie would have expected her to do. What Mia did with her legs was entirely, completely new.

Something new was rare, Ellie thought. Something new to do with sex, something so good, and obvious, but which Ellie just hadn’t realized was possible, that was a wonderful discovery. It fascinated her that she’d never known.

Sex was kind of predictable, Ellie had always thought. Once you had the hang of it, it was mostly all the same. Ellie couldn’t remember the last time she’d found out about something new. Something she actually wanted to do, anyway. And now she had. Thanks to Mia. And that was thrilling. It was so exciting that Ellie wanted ask other people if they knew too. If they’d known all along, and did it all the time, and somehow Ellie had just missed out. As if she hadn’t read the memo.

She almost felt silly for that.

She felt silly, and she kept thinking about legs, too.

Legs had suddenly become the focus of a lot of her attention. She went to work, and passed women in the street, and looked at their legs, and wondered. She noticed legs, when she hadn’t ever before. Long legs and smooth legs and legs in suits and skirts and dresses. She was staring a lot. Staring too much. She got caught, by someone in the street, someone who noticed, and met Ellie’s eye, and Ellie had no idea what to do next. She’d never been in that situation before. So she just flushed, and said, “Sorry, I’m really sorry,” and walked away. Fast.

She didn’t know what was wrong with her.

She did know, she just didn’t want to admit it.

She also knew felt a lot safer with all of this at home.

When she was at home, on the couch, watching TV on her own, Ellie could think about Mia’s legs without worrying where she stared.

She thought about Mia a lot. Sometimes, while she was, she touched her own legs without quite realizing. Caressing them gently, almost unconsciously, resting her fingertips on her ankle or calf, moving ever so slightly.

Stroking, without quite being aware she was. Stroking, while thinking about stroking Mia. As if so lost in her thoughts she forgot it was her own hand, so it seemed that she was touching Mia, and Mia touching her, even while Mia wasn’t there.

Almost like a dream.

It was a strange, strange thing to be doing, but Ellie kept doing it anyway.

It was strange, especially, because Mia was around the house all the time.

Mia was just there, doing whatever she was doing, but Ellie found her intensely overwhelming. She was very aware of Mia, every time Mia was around. Mia filled the room, and Ellie’s attention, whenever she was near. Ellie didn’t know why. She was confused. Something was happening, and Ellie wasn’t sure what it was. She couldn’t quite tell what she was supposed to do, or what to feel, or how seriously to take it.

It really didn’t help that Mia was how she was.

Oblivious to Ellie, except when she wasn’t. Ignoring Ellie, aloof, hanging out with Mark, seemingly all the time. Ignoring Ellie, unless she was suddenly after Ellie again, and when that happened, it happened all at once.

Ellie didn’t quite know what to make of it all.

She almost wanted to look on the internet, and try and find out more, but she didn’t. Because if she did, then that was the day her computer would break, and someone would have to fix it, and it would restart with the lesbian sex guide page open and right there.

Or something like that.

Instead she sat on the couch, and lay in her bed, and sat at her desk at work, and thought about Mia.

About Mia, and her legs. A lot.
