There is very little known about the governing structure of Tamaran.
What is known is that there are two large landmasses on Tamaran, referred to as the North and the South. Each of these landmasses is ruled by a governing family - Queen Luand'r and King Myand'r rule in the North, with Queen Salja and King Tharras ruling in the South.
The structure seems to be based on feudal systems, with the landmasses split into cities and states, with a less powerful family controlling each one.
Inheritance law seems to favor the oldest child with the ability to fly. If this ability is taken away or otherwise fails to present due to an illness or birth defect, inheritance of a title passes on to the next oldest child. Such is the case between Komand'r and Koriand'r.
