BEEP BEEP

"Hey, you have tried to call Rosetta Miller. I can't pick up my phone right now. Please, leave a message after the tone or text me."

BEEP

Rosetta left the phone booth. Her head stared at the ground. A few tears still ran down her face. Her feet took her to the train station. Her hand threw a few coins in the homeless man's hat. A wide smile filled the man's face. "Bless you," he said.

The train station was full of people. A couple was making out in a corner, and a little kid was clinging to his mother. Rosetta looked around. "Maybe the train isn't the best way," she thought, "But it's quick, and the risk of survival is small."

The board with the train departures and arrivals were hanging under the roof. In 5 minutes the next train would arrive. "It's now," Rosetta thought. Deep inside she was a bit scared, but the relief of knowing that it was soon over had way more control over her actions. The elevator was already full of people when Rosetta went inside it. Her fingers kept clicking the down button. As the doors opened she could hear the train arriving. She took a deep breath, and then Rosetta Miller's feet began running towards the rails.
