There is an island in the sky
It sits near the moon on cloudless nights
It has no birds that ever fly
To leave is a battle of winds and might
The water is blue like the sky
It rocks the land to sleep at night
It's waves are sweet and, quiet rush,
They whisper to me, "I'll love you very much."
It's the lullaby of leaves
It's the lullaby of seas
The whispers will bring us to our knees
and though it loves us, we will cry,
To escape from the island in the sky!
