It's Monday again, which means school. After work Sunday night and the conversation between Alec and I, I just want to die in a hole. There is no way I'm going to be able to go through with this training he has in store for me.

I'm sitting in my room writing on my laptop waiting for Leila to be ready. I decided to wear a pair of dark blue skinny jeans with my hair down and a sweater I stole from my brother, his old school sweater with our last name on the back. It's one of my favorite sweaters because its a soccer sweater.

I've been working on my college essay for awhile now and its due soon so I need to send it in to Julliard before its too late, I'd rather be early then be late. I also have to learn a whole routine if they send me an invite to the school, which by then I hope my parents will see how excited I am and will let me go. I look at the time to see that we need to leave soon so I get out of my chair and grab my school bag and my phone.

I feel my phone vibrate so I look at it to see its a text from my brother.

I have big news! I'll tell you later -P

I text back with 'Kay' wondering what it could be, maybe he worked things out with Kayla. Who knows.

I walk into the hallway and almost run into Leila, she is standing in the hall about to knock on my door, we both laugh.

"Good morning," I say to her.

"Morning," she says back smiling, "My brother called me this morning and said he was going to come over, but I'm not sure he really is," she said while walking to the kitchen.

"Why do you think that?" I asked curiosity getting the best of me.

"He is a compulsive liar," she says laughing to herself.

I nod and grab a banana off the kitchen counter. I don't know her brother, nor do I remember him from childhood. I think the only thing I remember is that they were both adopted and that they aren't blood related, in fact I think they are from different countries. I wonder what he looks like, I look at Leila and ponder.

"What's your brother look like anyway?" I ask again letting curiosity getting the best of me.

"I'll show you a picture," she says pulling out her phone, her eyes go wide, "on second thought we should get to school."

I pull out my phone to see we are a little late for leaving the house. Can't be late to school now can we?

We hurry to the car and begin our drive to school. I feel like this week is going to be shitty or really good. I'm hoping for good because on Saturday I have to finish writing and rewrite my essay for college. It sounds crazy but I need to get it done. I have till December. Well more like November and its only the third week or September.

I look over to my new best friend and smile. She smiles back.

"I like you with your hair down, you look more mature," she says while playing with the ends of my hair.

I smile and thank her, that's kinda what Alec said, and if it makes him think I'm sexier I'm hoping I can act sexier. We arrive at school and I think the last time I had my hair down was when I chopped it off in 8th grade, my mother was furious. But its grown a lot since then and its kinda healthy. For the most part. We get out of the car and I start walking around the car but Leila stops me.

"Please tell me you have something underneath that hoodie," she looks at me like she's a scolding parent.

Confused I look under, I have on my Hollister tank top that has a flower in the corner.

"Just a cami," I say looking up at her.

She proceeds to pull the bottom of the sweater off and that cause me to drop my stuff on the concrete.
