The Sun and Moon

You be the sun,

And I'll be the moon.

Two opposites apart,

Midnight and noon.

By the sky's order,

Each other we must hate,

Designed by destiny,

Designed by fate.

But against our fate,

I share your heart,

Two lovers above,

Yet forever apart.

I chase you,

As you chase me,

Over the sky,

Over the sea.

But we can't catch,

Each other and hold,

For our fate was decided,

And already told.

Yet once every year,

We can kiss,

And the whole world watches,

Our wondrous eclipse.

And then you're gone,

And the chase begins,

For once again,

Fate always wins.

But my love is true,

And only for one,

For who can match,

The Moon and Sun?
