Song 38: Trials

I've been put through trials,

They started at a young age,

And hell they'll probably keep on coming,

Till the day I'm gone,

If they do,

I'll be ready for them,

Since they started at a young age,

It's made me strong,

Though it's also made me not able to,

Settle down and let myself be at ease,

It's hard on the mind and soul,

But it keeps me strong,

Most of my trials,

All except a few,

Have been mean and unkind,

They have shown me how,

Most of the world is,

Though not everything in the world is mean,

Not everything is unkind,

There are parts of the world,

That makes life worth living,

That keeps you coming back,

Just to see a little more,

And though I may be young,

I've seen a lot of bad,

And I've seen a lot of good,

So I know what I mean,

When I say what I say,

My trials have been hard,

But they've made me who I am,

And I think I turned out pretty well,

For a person,

Who has seen and done,

More than many in his few years,

So I turned my trials into something good,

And I have to think all my trials,

For making me,

Who I am.
