Story starts~

“Deni, Dragon Pulse!” I shouted and the dinosaur-looking Pokemon hurled a blast of purple fire-like thingy at the opponent’s Tranquil. I knew that I was at a disadvantage when it came to types, but that’s the reason why I’m battling to prove it. “Aw man! Tranquil, return! Stoutland, come out!” The persistent boy threw a poke ball and the dog-like pokemon appeared.

“Deni, use slam! Then use work up!” I yelled and the Deino slammed hard against the Stoutland, causing the foe’s pokemon to stumble. Deni then tensed its body and used work up, causing it to focus more and its speed to rise. “Stoutland, use Retalite!” The boy shouted. “Deni, dodge then use Dragon Pulse!” Just then, a Klinklang shot a Flash Cannon between the two pokemon, causing them to stop their attacks.

“Who’s there?” The boy called out while I crossed my arms and fumed quietly at the Klinklang. It’s just part of my personality. When mad, fume quietly. Just then, a boy around my age appeared. He had green hair and green eyes. “Sorry, I was training my Klinklang and didn’t notice you guys here.” He apologised. “We’ll do this another day, Minta, I have to go!” The boy ran off with his pokemon.

“So, you’re Minta, right? You’re pretty good at battling.” The green-haired boy said. “What’s your name and I bet you were watching us.” I said, crossing my arms again to glare slightly at him. “My name is N. Yes, I was watching you. What do you think of pokemon?” He asked.

“Hmmm... I would say... friends. Deni was with me since I was 4 and he took care of me. We’re best buddies!” I exclaimed, unfolding my arms to pet Deni. N nodded. “That’s what I think of pokemon too. They’re not tools, but friends.” He nodded again.

A few months later~

N and I have been friends for a few months. We would talk all day long about pokemon with my Deni beside me.

“How’s Sageleaf? Is he doing fine? I heard he got sick.” N said. “He had a fever but he’s recovering, since I gave him a berry.” I answered and N nodded. “You should be a pokemon breeder, Peppermint.” N said, using his pet name for me. I loves eating peppermints, so...yeah. “Being a Pokemon Breeder takes a lot of time... I’m not sure if I’m that patience.” I stated. Just then, Xuri, my Fraxure, came running to me. Behind him was a whole horde of Whirlipedes! “Xuri! What happened?” I exclaimed, taking out my poke ball and throwing it in the air, making my Watchog, Ratta, appear. N had also taken out his Klinklang. “Xuri, use Dragon Claw to defend! Ratta, use Hyper Fang! Deni, use Dragon Pulse!” “Klinklang, use Thunderbolt!” After a while, we managed to frightened off the Whirlipedes .

“I guess Xuri made them angry.” I said, returning Ratta and Xuri. “Yep. Looks like it. I have to go. See ya!” N said, running off after he placed something on my hand. “See ya, N!” I waved, sucking on the peppermint he gave me.
