"What? Where's Jason? Aria! Are you okay?" Lynn finally woke up and came to her senses. We were now in our living room and Lynn was on the couch.

"Lynn, you almost died. Mark saved you with his blood." I explained quietly.

"Well now we've both gone through this. I guess that makes us even?" She replied with a bit of humor.

I shook my head, losing the fight to holding my tears and began crying. "I'm so sorry Lynn." My voice cracked.

"Hey! Shh." Lynn replied. She sat up and wrapped her arms around me as I put my head on her shoulder. "You don't know how much I would've wanted to kill myself if you had died."

"You would've had Ian."

"No because we broke up!" I began crying louder.

"Hey." She stroked my back as she reached across to the table and grabbed a box of tissues. "It was a spur of the moment type thing. You'll get him back."

"I told him we had to break up because it was too dangerous for us to be together." I grabbed  a tissue and blew my nose.

"Isn't that something he's supposed to say to you?" She asked confused.

"Yeah, I mean that's what Edward told Bella." I reffered to Twilight.

Lynn shook her head. "You can't break up with Ian. He's good for you in so many ways."

"And bad for me in much more."

Lynn sighed. "Before Ian came around, you were shy you who was not afraid to be herself when she was in the shadows. And let's be honest, as much as you said you were confident in front of people, you never really felt that way until Ian showed you how amazing you really are. You need him and he needs you and no amount of pain or hurt can change that. The greatest relationships are the ones that survive through the toughest times. You and Ian have something incredible so don't throw that away over a near-death experience."

We sat there for a few minutes in silence. Lynn's speech really got to me but something still prevented me from going after him. "You almost died Lynn. Do you know how much it would have hurt me if you were gone?"

Lynn smiled. "Why do you think I took that shot for you dummy? It would've hurt me as much as it would've hurt you but that's what best friends do for each other. We'll always look out for each other. So now that I'm not dead, we need to make sure you're not dead on the inside so I'm calling Ian and he's going to come and take you away so you guys can get your flirt on and rekindle everything that's happened since you met."

"Lynn, what if he doesn't want to be with me anymore?" I asked quietly.

"Okay, I'm the one that got shot here, not you. You really don't have an excuse for asking such a dumb question." Lynn answered.

"Yeah, you're right. I'll call him." I pulled out my phone and scrolled to his name. The bell rang and Lynn started to get up to answer it. "Sit. I'll get it." I quickly ran to the door and opened it to find Mark.

"Is she okay?" He asked, his voice serious.

I nodded.

He started to move past me but I stopped him. "Wait, Mark?"

Mark frowned. "Yeah?"

"How is he?" I asked.

He knew exactly who I was talking about. "He misses you and is in a hell of a lot of pain."

I nodded, feeling guilty. "I'm heading over there right now. I realized I made a huge mistake."

Mark nodded. "He should be at home."
