A/N: Ok peeps, so about the cast, I was thinking, Alyson Stoner or Emma Watson could be Maydah, but I feel Alyson Stoner looks more the role, what are your ideas? And any other suggestions?

"So what did the principle want yesterday?" Cailey asked.

Oh great! What would I tell her? I didn't want to lie even though I could do it simply and easily..

"I can't really tell you," I said.

"Why not?"

"Well, Mr Crookshank said it was strictly confidential," I explained, hoping she wouldn't press on.

"You can trust me, I wouldn't tell a single soul,"

"Cailey," I sighed.

"Ok, ok, just curiosity getting in the way."

"Still here Scarfie?" Spencer smirked, "We thought you were done for,"

"Guess you thought wrong," I said.

"I'm never wrong," He stated.

"It's hard to accept the truth, but one of these days you'll come around." I smirked. I saw his pals burst into silent fits of laughter and Cailey didn't even bother to hide her amusement.

"Dude you just got dissed by whatsherface," His friend Dean mocked.

"I have a name, but guessing by your IQ, you probably have no idea what that is," I got back at him.

"You have no idea how smart I can be," The side of his lip curled into a half-smile-smirk.

Spencer punched his chest, "Every one knows you can't be smart bro,"

I ignored them and headed to class.

"Maydah I'm impressed, you confidence level is rising to like here," She indicated with her hand above her  forehead.

"Slowly but surely," I laughed.

I went to the library for my free lesson, not my usually spot at the back of the school because I wasn't in the mood of seeing Zeke Daniel's face. I was absolutely positively sure I would hurl if I saw-

"Will he live?" I turned around to see who  it was... None other than Zeke Daniels himself.

"The boy you almost killed? I'm not allowed to talk about him." I stated vaguely.

"I do things for a reason, that assume that because you caught me out of context, your Lord Jesus and I'm the bloody devil," He said roughly.

"Ok than, tell me your reason," I challenged.

"I didn't come here to pour out my whole life story ok?"

"Somebody need to work on their temper," I said deliberately.

He took a deep breath, "Will Adrien live?" He asked again.

"I told you, I'm not allowed to give details about his condition,"

Zeke got up to leave.

"You know, for some one who seems to be fighting the power, you seem to be taking a lot of orders from them," He said with his back facing me, and disappeared before I could find out what he meant.

I got home from school exactly on time. Luckily I had no homework but that didn't mean I was free. Ever since the year began, my grades were falling. I used to be a straight A student but now my honors teacher were warning me about keeping my place in their classes. I couldn't have any more distractions for the time being. I began to take out my books after lunch and began revising and revising and revising.

I hadn't even realised it was already dark outside. I took out my prayer mats and prayer garments for Maghrib (dusk) prayers. After I finished, I folded them and put them away. As I was about to go back to my revision, I heard the doorbell ring. My dad was still praying so I went to see who it was.

A middle aged women with night black hair and beatle black eyes was standing outside our door. I opened the door slightly.

"Hi," The women said shakily.

"Hello,"

"Is this the Ahmed residence? I found it in one of the phone books and it was a bit old and I'm not sure if they're still here but I-"

"Yes, this is the Ahmad residence," I said, wanting her to get to the point.

"Oh, I'm- I'm Adrien's mother."
