In the transition from teen-age to somewhat-of -and-adult, there is not much to tell. Pierce had her college experience, the same one most kids get.

She went on frequent dates with some guys, but nothing really serious. Parties, homework, and her close friends took most of her time.

She finished college a year and half early, only to embark on the challenge of going to Medical School. New York City welcomed her, she loved her new campus in Columbia.

Her mother loved it more now that she was at least closer to Eliza and Mason, who had stayed in upper New York.

At least someone would be looking after her, someone of the family.

When Pierce came home, it was a celebration, because now the pack in Canada joined in too, welcoming the girl as if she were their own.

Pierce was more comfortable now, amongst her family's people. She was not yet at the point of calling them her own.

Eliza came to visit her whenever she was in the city, attending to Daniel and Mason while they were on important meetings.

Mason joined Daniel's firm, who sometimes dealt with cases in the big apple. Mostly, they stayed in the luxurious hometown, or in the camp-site with cottages everywhere that their pack jointly owned. According to Eliza, Adam loved to swim there, at their lake. He was making really good friends with the children there.

Emma was married at a lovely ceremony, all in white.

While Pierce was happy for her sister, she couldn't help but notice the glances from the groom's guests. And although her mother had promised her that it was okay to leave if she was not feeling comfortable, she stayed for the time that she could.

Pierce was there only for the civil ceremony, the show for the humans that happened to be invited and were acquainted with the families.

The real ceremony between the pairbond, the one that mattered to the werewolf comunity, wouldn't happen until the last drunk human had left.

Pierce, for safety reasons, had deemed it would be best to go watch the children who were much to young.

All she knew of that ceremony was that everyone was in their pelts at some point.

Plus she wouldn't want to accidentally catch a glimpse of somebody naked. She knew that much about shifting. At least from Charlie from what she concluded from his changes.

Emma had married at young man from Daniel's pack, which happened to be also the Evergreen's old pack.

Emma had met Robert at Eliza's wedding. It hadn't been love at first sight. It had been love at seeing each other so often.

Robert had been promised at birth to another wolf. It was a normal practice, not too common, to arrange marriages so as to ensure the stability of the pack. Mating wolves that came from particularly strong lines.

The girl, her name Marcella, had decided that she would much like to not marry Robert. She had slept with one of Daniel's groomsmen just to get out of the binding contract.

Robert's parents had inoccently stated in the contract that the girl would maintain her virginity until the wedding night.

Passion was stronger than duty.

Robert was nursing a broken heart, he had actually fallen in love with Marcella.

He danced with Emma two songs and never saw her again, then Emma spent three months with Eliza during and after her pregnancy.
