~End Of Serenity~

Halika: -screams- ANDRE!!!! -sniffs- Help!!

Andre: Hang on, Hali!

Jay: I told you this was a bad idea! This wasn't safe for her, Dre!

Andre: Jay, this isn't safe for any of us. But, now isn't the right time for us to fight over something like that!

Halika: Dre!! -she cries out loudly-

Andre: -speeds up his running pace, reaching for Hali's hand-

-One of the many Cinders whips a fireball at him and Jay-

Andre: -snatches his hand away and ducks- Damn, I really wish Kim was here right now!

Jay: Not the time to be-- Andre watch it!

Andre: -immediately ducks after another fireball is thrown at them-

Halika: -looks behind her to see that they are approaching the Cinder habitat tunnel, she reaches out for Andre's hand- A-Andre, hurry!!

Andre: I'm trying Hali! You guys are moving way to fast!

Halika: -tears stream down her cheeks as they get even closer-

Andre: -his fingertips reach hers but her hand slips away and they reach the tunnel. Halika is dragged away- HALIKA!!!!

Jay: HALI, NO!!!

Halika: -screams, reaches her arm out to them-

-Andre and Jay stop running, breathing hard with their hands on their knees-

Jay: Tha--... -gasps- That's it then... She's gone. Andre, what are we supposed to do...?

Andre: -shakes his head- We have to go back. -stands up straight- We've got to go back and tell them.

Jay: But, what if--

Andre: We have no choice. Ender ALWAYS said that if someone gets lost we can't wait out here. We have to do something about it. Jay, this is Halika we're talking about. There's nothing we can do out here. It's not safe for you and for me.

Jay: Andre, if we go back, then we can't save Halika.

Andre: We weren't able to save her in the first place... She chose to come out here. She made the risks. this isn't our fault.

Jay: What, so you're just going to pin this on her?! She did this for Ender, Andre. Halika was his little sister. And  he was your best friend. So now you're just going to tell me that you are going to act like your best friend's little sister didn't just--

Andre: ENDER. IS. DEAD! We are going, Jay. Halika is gone. -turns around and starts walking away-

Jay: -stays in place, pausing for a few minutes- What are you going to tell Dez, Andre...? Going back is just as bad as letting Halika die in the Cinder's hands! What would Ender say to you? -put his hand on his hips shaking his head-

Andre: Why do YOU care so much?

Jay: Because Halika is my friend. And before Mr. DreFrost left and before Ender left, they made us promise that we'd protect her! You better not goddamn tell me that you're breaking that promise! I'm staying right here, whether you like it or not. And I don't care if I get hurt. I don't care if I die out here. I made a promise and I'm keeping it.

Andre: -his jaw clenches and he shakes his head- You're crazy.. Goodbye, Jay-lin. -turns around and starts running-
