Andre: Who knows where we are? -sighs and puts out his hand, creating a small orb of light-

Halika: -eyes widen in awe at the light- A-am I allowed to touch that?

Andre: If you want to get severely burned, sure.

Jay: I learned that the hard away... -looks down-

Halika: -frowns- Ouch. -she shrugs it off and marches forward without them- Hey, do you think there are-- -steps on sticks, making them crack and snap under her feet, the sound echoing against the trees and caves-

Andre: -his head shoots up, his mouth dropping open- Hali...!

Halika: -looks back at them in shock and fear- S-sorry!

-growling ripples through the air. The leaves and the ground underneath their feet begin to rumble. Roaring starts out quiet but it evolves to an extremely loud roar. A creature rises from the ground in front of them-

Andre: -looks around frantically- Rrrrruunn!! -pushes Halika and Jay towards a tree-

Jay: Hali, hurry!! -pushes her up-

Halika: I'm trying! My hand can't reach the next branch--

-the roaring  makes a crescendo -

Jay: Hurry up!!

Halika: -struggles to grasp the next branch, grunting- Almost... -grabs the branch, pulling herself up as fast as she can-

Jay: -quickly follows her up-

Halika: W-what about Andre?

Jay: He's gonna do something he's only practiced once.

Andre: -breathes heavily, facing the Cinder-

-The Cinder huffs steeping forward-

Andre: -steps back, opening his hand, creating another orb of light, increasing the size to the size of a basketball, whipping it at the Cinder-

-The orb of light seems to have grazed the Cinder, but the Cinder merely vanishes and reappears closer to Andre-

Andre: Jay!! -turns and starts running-

Jay: -pushes both hands in front of him, zapping lightning at the Cinder-

-The Cinder bursts with a brilliant white fire-

Halika: We... you... -points at Jay, her hand shaking- We didn't die!

Jay: I know. We got lucky. -slumps against the trunk of the tree- But, norm Cinders aren't the worst monsters we can face. There are Spurious Cinders, Augur Cinders, Abnormal Cinders, Spurious Abnormal Cinders and worst of all... Xeno-Spurious Norm Cinders.

-Andre arrives in the tree, breathing heavily, after a while, the heavy breathing subsides-

Andre: Xeno-Spurious Norm Cinders are the strongest, but we rarely ever see them. Don't get me wrong... that's a good thing.

Halika: -her expression brightens as a thought sparks in her head- I-is there any chance that--

Andre: Ender's dead.

Jay: Andre. -nudges him-

Andre: -sighs- Sorry for my bluntness.

-A long screech sounds, followed by a few roars and battle cries-

Jay: Ooohh, crap.

Halika: What?

Jay: They've spotted us. They know we killed their pack mate. We've gotta run.
