I wake up cold. Now I really regret stealing the furniture, because we have to sleep on the cold, cement floor, and Mallory uses my stomach as a pillow. I can't move. I can't even turn my head without waking her and getting a beating.

After about 20 minutes, Mallory wakes up. I start to make breakfast. When I come back with a tray of eggs and bacon, Mallory stands next to a wooden chair. "Amber," she says, "have you been in contact with Regina?"

"No, there's no way I could have been," I say, doubting that she'll believe me.

"Liar!" She yells, tackling me and pinning my shoulders with her knees and sitting on my stomach. She slaps me, hard, and I begin to cry. "Has all that time with Regina made you too weak to handle a beating?"

"This isn't you. You're trapped inside this evil form, but I know better than to judge based on the outside. I know you're good. And I'm so sorry you're trapped like this."

Mallory hits me once more, then gets up. But as she's walking away, her foot sinks into my stomach, just like Regina's did so many years ago.
