Onika Tanya Williams

"Meek. I have to use the bathroom."

This is the 5th time in the last month hour.

"Come on."

He helped me get up and we walked to the bathroom. I sat down and he sat on the edge of the tub. I used the bathroom and did everything. I grabbed Meek's arm and I felt something go down my leg and I felt pain.

"Meek. It's time."

I grabbed the couch and stayed there.

"Come on y'all.", Meek yelled.

"I can't move Meek."

"Stay there until it goes away."

I stood up for about 3 minutes and was able to walk again. Meek picked me up and walked out the house. I put me in the car and I put my hand on my stomach.

"Hospital Meek."

"I know. We're going."

-

"Grab my hand."

I grabbed his hand and carefully got out the car. He picked me up and walked into the hospital.

"I'm about to go get a nurse."

"No. I want you to stay here.", I said and he nodded.

"Na, go get a nurse."

I held his hand tightly as a contraction came.

"It hurts."

"I know baby. I know."

"No you don't! You did this shit to me."

I fely myself being lifted up and being placed in a wheelchair.

"No more children after this.", I said and Meek laughed.

Meek helped me into the gown and I held onto his arm as I got on the bed.

"Hi Onika. I'm going to see how much you're dialated.", the nurse said and I nodded.

She moved my legs and Meek grabbed my hand.

"Looks like you're 2 centimeters'. I suggest walking around to speed this up. Would you like the epidural?"

"Not right now."

"Alright. I'll come back and check on you in about two hours."

I put my legs down and a contraction came through and I tightened my grip on Meek's hand.

"Damn Nic."

"You would understand if you were in my position. I hate you."

"You want to walk around?",  he asked.

"No."

"You need to Nicki.", Sam said.

"Alright. I'll go.", I said and got up.

Sam opened the door and Meek held his arm out for me.

"I can't wait until this is over. I've never been in so much pain."

"You'll get through it."

We walked for about 55 minutes and went back to the room. I got on the bed and the nurse walked in.
