alright so I watched the imitation game (benedict cumberbatch omfjshx)

and I've realized how far we've all come along since 1954

to ''treat'' homosexuals they put them onto a hormone treatment (the chemical stopped sexual feelings and attraction, basically stopping all sex and a chemical castration). they physically tried to 'cure' homosexuality. you could lose everything by exclaiming you were gay.

and look at us now.

people are (mostly) open about being gay and being in a relationship.

in the us, 50 states officially allowed gay marriage.

society had changed so much. I'm honestly so happy.

I would absolutely hate to be on a hormone treatment to try and 'cure' my thoughts.

but yeah!

thank you society for being so open-minded now a days, I'm really glad I was born in this era (:
