The spirit of a horse is a wonderous thing,

That brings laughter to the faces of all,

When it gallops in the summer, over lush green fields,

And chases the leaves when they fall.

When it stands by the gate, pulling faces Because,

it longs to go inside,

When it stops you going where you want to go,

And refuses to move aside.

When it does the strangest things, such as,

whinnying when it drinks,

Or spooking at something that isn't there,

and acting like it can't think.

Yea, The spirit is a marvellous thing,

That keeps the world alive,

And lightens up the atmosphere,

When it does arrive.
