Tryouts started in 15 minutes. Only 15 minutes.

I was ready, and nervous as heck.

Why wouldn't I be? This is my first year playing on a team. I was just the nerd, and this is my chance to prove them all wrong.

My mind was still on Jason, but mainly on soccer.

Every so often I would think of him, and smile.

That was until tryouts started.

"So for warm up I want you all to run a mile. If you cant do it in eight minutes, you're out." The coach said, before she blew the whistle.

Most girls sprinted, but I jogged. Sprinting will give them cramps, and hurt them in the end. So I jogged, and was hopeful to beat the majority.

As I hoped, I was one of the first people to finish, I finished third of twenty two. The first was the team captain from last year, and second was her best friend.

Two girls didn't make it, so we were already down to twenty girls.

The next thing the coach had us do were suicides, which werent that bad. She said the last person to finish ten was cut. I finished fourth.

"We have nineteen girls right now. I only need sixteen. I will cut who I think should be cut for the rest of tryouts." The coach said.

Three hours after we were finding out who made it. Coach would pull us into her office, and tell us then.

"Nadia." Coach called.

After a couple minutes, Nadia ran out tears streaming down her face.

Coach called girl by girl.

When she got to me, I was a nervous wreck.

"Elizabeth." Coach called.

I waked into her room, trying to look calm.

"Congratulations, you made the team!" She said.

"Thank you so much!" I said, joyfully.

"Practices start Monday, we will pick numbers and captains then. Get to know the team as soon as possible, and I will see you Monday!" Coach said.

"I'll be there! Thank you!" I said.

As soon as I walked out the door, I called Liam.

"Liam! Guess what!" I yelled into the phone.

"What?" He asked.

"I made the team!" I screamed.

"Thats amazing!" He yelled. "We should celebrate tomorrow!"

"Of course!" I laughed.

"Im planning a party now! I will text you the details! Bye love!" He said, before hanging up.

If I didn't mention this, Liam is batting for the other team. He's an amazing guy and friend. And I don't care about who he likes, as long as he is happy.

Before I went home, I went to Jason's house. As soon as I pulled into the driveway, I got nervous.

I didn't let that stop me though. I walked up to his door, and knocked.

"Who is it!" I heard someone yell.

"Elizabeth, I'm a friend of Jason's!" I yelled.

"Come in!" The person yelled.

I walked into the house, and was met by a woman who looked a lot like a Jason. I was guessing she was Jason's mother.

"Jason is in his room." She said. "It's the third one on the right."

"Thank you." I said, politely.

I walked towards his room, and knocked lightly.

"Come in," I heard him murmur through the door.

As soon as I stepped into his room, I began to regret it.

"Hey." I whispered.

"Hey." He said.

"So I came to tell you that I made the soccer team." I said, quietly.

"Thats amazing!" He said.

"Yeah." I whispered.

"Come here." He said, making room for me to sit on his bed.

I walked over and sat next to him. He wrapped his arm around my waist, and pulled me to his chest.

"I know I never formally asked you this, so I'm doing it now." He said. "Elizabeth White, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.

"Yes. Yes I will." I said, as I snuggled into his chest more.

He lifted my chin up with his hand, and kissed my nose.

"You're adorable." He said.

I laughed at that.

"It's true!" He said, defensively.

"Okay, sure!" I said, sarcastically.

"I'm 100% serious." He said.

"I know you are." I said.

Then my phone rang.

"Hello." I said into the phone.

"Honey, it's your dad. Where are you?" He asked.

"Im at Jasons, I'll be home soon." I said.

"Okay, you have ten minutes. I have big news for you!" He said.

"I'm leaving now. See you soon." I said into the phone, before I hung up.

"You're leaving me?" Jason said, while pouting.

"Yes, but I'll see you tomorrow." I said to him.

"Do I at least get a goodbye kiss?" He asked.

"Of course!" I said, while laughing.

I gave him a peck on the lips, before I waved goodbye, and left.

When I got home, I saw dad sitting at the dinner table.

"Hi dad." I said.

"Hey honey!" He said, excitedly. "I have some big news! Sit down!"

"Okay!" I said, sitting in the seat across from him.

"So as you know with work, the divorce, and trying to support the two of us, I haven't had time for dating. Well now I do. So I decided to start dating again!" He said, happily.

"I'm so proud of you dad! But I have somethings to tell you." I said.

"Go right ahead." He said.

"Well I made the soccer team, and well now I have a boyfriend!" I said, happily.

"That's great! Where is my shotgun though? Just in case." He said.

"Dad no shotguns. Got it?" I said, teasingly.

"I guess! If Im not aloud to!" He said, mockingly.

"I love you dad." I said, while laughing.

"I love you to Liz." He said. "And I couldn't be prouder."

"Thank you daddy." I said. "And I'm so proud you've decided to try dating."

"That means so much to me." He said.

"I know dad. I know. Now if you don't mind, I'm going to sleep. Goodnight." I said.

"Goodnight." He said.
