Title of Poem: Orphaned Child
Orphaned child standing in the rain
No one really understands his pain.
The loss he feels tears at his heart
His family, like that, has been torn apart.
The children were split up to find a good home,
And now they all feel so alone.
No one realizes how horrible it would feel
Unless they've gone through that awful ordeal.
The orphaned child tries to stay strong,
Refuses to cry, he just goes along.
Pretending he's fine, ignoring his heartache,
Until one day, we all know he'll break.
He'll hide away, while he cries,
And when he's back, we accept lies.
Orphaned child standing all alone,
Knowing the new house will never be home.
