Sad instruments

Jelly beans and make believe
A little girl who loved dresses and tea.
She grew up and realized she loves girls and singing
She sang the words she was too afraid to say
She played a sad instrument that felt what she did
She lost herself and when she did she found the confidence she needed
She fell in love with the chords that broke her heart for the first time.
She told her family the words she had longed to sing.
Her family broke the sad instrument and her heart along with it
She plays the piano now
But it all feels numb
She can't see the keys because the tears she refused to shed fog her eyes
And the words become lost.
Soon enough she's is large enough to be the sun
And she's low enough to be the ground beneath her feet
She bought another sad instrument
And it sang for her
And she cried.
The words she refuse to sing poured out
She told her mom and her mom couldn't do anything about it
She kissed the girl she loved
And for the first time she didn't need the sad instrument
The sad instrument was out of tune
And she didn't need to play it anymore
The sad instrument grew dust
And she was still in love
She sang without the sad instrument
And she flew above the skies
She was bigger than the sun
And more happy than the sad instrument

So hi, I'm back from the dead. I have to get an MRI today so I'm petrified but hopefully all goes well. Also I am sorry for spamming with updates. One of my best friends and I sort of waffle around with poetry so I tend to write it the most when I'm with her and then choose my favorites to post to this story. I'll see you sweet potatoes later. Bye!
