Contd... from Part - I

(It would make sense to read the previous one before reading this :P )

He took those moans to be real, basking in his own pride.

Oblivious to her veiled tears, that were building up in her eyes,

She religiously prayed for the emotional wave inside, to subside.

He moaned and groaned, as he approached his release,

With each thrust she grew numb to the feeling;

Practised ignorance towards being violated.

Held back tears, that were flooding her eyes, blurred her vision.

The emotions that inundated her heart, muddled her consciousness.

The cries of her own dreams drowning inside her, blurred everything.

In that moment of suffocating sadness, filling her heart,

She let her soul, indulge one more time, one last time.

She wanted to dance amidst the remnants of shrivelling dreams.

The dreams she had carefully plucked, from her innocent mind.

She had spread those naive dreams, covering them generously,

Ruthlessly, in sea-salt, to dry them out of their juices,

Like how they dry sardines.

She wanted each one of those dreams, bone dry, obscenely dry.

So that they don't lure her gullible heart again, not anymore.

Into dreaming, into desiring love, into wanting to feel alive.

Tonight she let herself savour these pickled dreams.

One last time. She let herself out of the self built-prison .

Her mind drifted off, gliding to a different world of opulence.

A mountain valley, where lush green is sprawled on the meadows.

Where snow capped hills, stand tall and long are their shadows.

Sun makes an entrance, from between the twin peak's cleavage.

Light in abundance here, the idea of possessing love, a possibility.

He, whose eyes sparkled with love and adulation for her,

A smile mellowing her hardened and brittle heart,

Into beating...

The affection in his hug, warm enough to soothe,

Years of her pain.
