Her gracious gait, her tender feet, luscious and supple.

tickled the grass on the green turf into a giggle.

As she unwound, meandering on the meadows, she inspired

the exotic tulips by the side, to cringe in an envious sniffle.

She let her hair loose, halting the breeze, like it was hired, appointed

to seduce her neck and caress the fringes of her plush mane.

Crisp droplets of water from the mountain springs, niggled and tussled

to climb into the cup of her soft palms to quench her thirst.

Rows of Mocking jays lined up on the limbs of the tree,

to mimic, to pick up from her lips the melodious verses.

As the sun bade adieu to her eyes, the dusk drew curtains,

light dregs withdrew away from her feet , unsure and uncertain.

In hiding; the sun, moon, humanity and the guardian light,

shrugging all responsibilities, leaving her alone to fight.

Like nature's symbolic preparation for the inevitable strife.

She waltzed back into her dingy, truthful non-illusionary life.

Them envious tulips and the cherry blossoms didn't know.

The wildflowers and dandelions growing in her backyard knew.

Cherubic plums and juicy apples in the eden didn't know.

Wild berries knew her hunger, gooseberries knew her bitterness.

The dandelions. wild berries and the muted window panes,

with unwavering compassion, they witnessed her many pains.

She lay on the bed, pinned down by his intruding hands,

fingers that desecrated her soul, smeared her self-respect.

Bunched up white dress by the leg post of the sturdy cot,

wet lifeless eyes in the mirror staring at her, as she stared back.

Her soul stripped naked, exploited, soiled and insulted.

His smirking face over hers; someone she had once trusted.

Now with a demonic smile... Unchecked... Unpunished...

She was the wildflower in the back yard of hell.

All those eyes that looked at her could never tell.

All those admiring eyes by her path, who watched her pass,

they didn't see her heart or her pain. They saw a beautiful lass.
