7. Name Dem Babies !

Natalie POV.

Windell and I have decided to have a 'Name That Baby' party!

We invited Tameka, my assistant Diana, my office worker Daniel, and a few others.

I wanted to invite Shadáe, but her and Tameka aren't in a good place right now, and I don't have time to deal with any of it.

I'm nearly 8 months pregnant and my emotions are all over the place.

"OK ,everyone welcome to our Name That Baby Party! Here is how it's going to go. Everyone is going to write three baby girl names and enter it into the bowl, and Tameka no ghetto names, okay?."

"Damn. Alright I promise I won't , put in ALL ghetto names.", she said with a smirk. That girl is gone drive me crazy.

Windell proceeded to finish, "Alright you guys you have five minutes to write and enter them in the bowl. Go!"

Everyone, including Windell and I wrote these names down. Everyone had already had alcohol and food in their systems, since this is a party, so I wouldn't be suprissed if there were some questionable names.

When I got finished with my suggestions, I put them in the bowl. While I waited, I drank on my grape juice, pretending like it was some wine.

I have a serous wine problem. It's probably good I have taken a 7 month break from it. As soon as this baby comes out, I'm drinking a bottle of Pinot all by myself. You think I'm playing? I'm not. Trust and believe.

The five minutes were up in no time and it was time to share the names.

"Alright you all, let's see what you have come up with.", I noted.

"First off we have a Jamie Lee, Jennifer, and LaNiqua."

I already knew who suggested LaNiqua. That's a damn shame.

"I'm gonna let y'all know now that LaNiqua is out."

Tameka gave me a side eye, because she knew I wasn't playing. My mother would kill me, and Windell's mom would throw shade my way.

Here's a fun fact. Windell's real name is DaVante. He changed it on his 18th birthday, to a name that sounded more proper.

To this day he has promised me to never mention it, and so far I've been successful.

Windell read the next batch of names "Whitney, Mariah, Aaliyah."

We all laughed that all those names were said together.

Windell looked dead at me, because I suggested ALL those names.

"Nattie we know you love Mariah Carey, but we need something more traditional. Whitney is the queen, but that's a bit to old school. Aaliyah is perfect."

"Maybe I don't want traditional.", I told him, still salty about him dissing the songbird supreme.

"Alright ,I'll read the last few names."

"Camille, Serenity, and Harmony."

Now those names were definitely unique, mostly Serenity and Harmony.

"I love these names! OK you guys, Windell and I have to sleep on these, but we will announce which one we will choose at the baby shower in two weeks!", I announced.

"Have a great night you guys!"

Courtney POV.

I was sitting on my porch reading a book with baby names.

I only have about 3 months left and I needed to settle on names.

With me leaving Daniel out of these plans, I had the power of getting to choose the names myself.

One set of names that was sticking to me were Hayden and Jayden. They were perfect together. Plus I personally have a thing with the name Hayden.

Another pair of names I've had my eyes on were Will and Willow, Alex and Alexis, and Tameron and Kameron.

Also, I have to plan my baby shower. Since my pregnancy likely won't be full term, it has to be sooner rather than later.

I don't know who all I'm inviting, but I hope Shadáe can forgive me and come.

I should have never threw her under the bus. I doubt she would come though. I just hope me and Natalie's showers aren't on the same day.

My plan has been paused until after I have my babies, but it's still happening. Windell will believe that these are his kids, and he will be mine again.

Plus him and Daniel are both black and look similar so it shouldn't be hard.
