I woke up with my face in my pillow.
Then everything came back to me.
The phone call.
Who would do that?
Why does everyone call me that?! Druggie Girl! I didn't even take it! It was was dumb jackass I called'Father"!
I looked bakc down a the pillow I was lying on which now was tear-stained from the previous night.
That won't happen again. I told myself.
Never.I won't cry about that again. I'll be strong. I won't be weak.
I won't be that weak, crying girl anymore.
I'll be Alexis Collins.
Strong.
Challenging.
Smart.
Cunning.
Won't take shit from anyone.
Won't cry.
Alexis Rose Collins will certainly do one thing.
Break the heart-breaker.
I reluctantly came out of room and got ready in average clothes. Jeans and a t-shirt. I pulled my glasses on and put my hair in ponytail.
This is my last day as Alexis Bambi Willows.
Goodbye past, hello future.
"Mom! Jake's here to pick me up!" I yelled as I heared a car horn from outside. I grabbed a toast from Connor's breakfast plate and my bag and headed out the door.
"hey chefie boy!" I told him as I got into his car.
"Morning songbird.." He said sadness evident in his voice.
"What's wrong?" I asked him titling my head slightly.
He smacked his hand to his forehead.
"Your. Moving." He said indicating every syllable.
"I know" I said nodding my head.
"He put an arm around my shoulder and started driving.
"You really shouldn't drive with just one hand on the wheel Jake."
He rolled his eyes at me.
"Allie, Were 2 minutes away from school, we'll survive."
This time I rolled my eyes at him.
"If we don't I blame you for my death, Cheffie boy."
"Songbird. we're here." He said pulling into the school parking lot.
