Shocking twist, right? Poor Kaida is without a father and is at the mercy of Fallon... Uh oh. Bad things are coming....

Merlin's POV

Something was seriously wrong. Merlin could sense it. He couldn't get a hold of Landron and Kaida and Jaython were missing. He sensed that evil was at work. The evil of Fallon, if he had to bet.

"Merlin!" He heard someone shout from behind him. Merlin whirled around quickly, feeling sick. The person in front of him looked so much like Landron, but Landron didn't have evil like the person in front of him did.

"Hello," Merlin said, watching the man who looked like Landron closely. He knew that it was obvious that he didn't trust the man standing in front of him. But he didn't care. He had to find the real Landon. Kaida, too. The whole palace was a mess of chaos. One couldn't even here their own thoughts, it was so loud. Evil was everywhere and it sent Merlin's skin crawling.

"I've been looking everywhere for you!" Landron yelled over the noise. Merlin had to resist the urge to barf, the wickedness was coming off from Landron in that big of waves.

Landron seemed to sense Merlin's disgust as he narrowed his eyes.

"You and I both know that I'm not Landron, don't we? Come with me or many more people will die. I'll feel no remorse. I don't care if these people die. They mean nothing to me, but I'm sure they mean something to you. If you come with me, these lives will be spared. If you refuse, then it's your fault that these people died."

"Fine," Merlin said reluctantly. He couldn't let innocent people be killed. It wasn't like him. So, when the Landron look alike left, Merlin followed.

"You're a rather hard man to find, Merlin. What's the name you've been working under? Was it... Warren Arden?" The Landron look alike smirked. Merlin ignored him. It wasn't like it had been a secret. Or that much of one.

"Come on now, Merlin. Don't do the silent treatment. It's very rude, don't you think? At least answer me when I speak to you. I am sparing the lives of those people..." The Landron look alike said. They walked outside and Merlin remained silent, lost in his own thoughts. What was going on? How was he going to get out of the mess? He was good, but was he that good? Where was the real Landron. Where were Kaida and Jaython? Was Fallon behind this?

Merlin scoffed to himself. Of course Fallon was involved with this. He was trouble with a different name. This was probably one of his plans. He had so many, after all. But this one would fail. Just like the others. It had to.

"What's your name?" Merlin finally asked. He didn't lke breaking the silence, but he couldn't just refer to the man as the "Landron look alike." Even if Fallon created him, he had to have a name.

"I don't have one. But you can call me Nolan. I rather like that name," the Landon look alike replied. No, Merlin corrected himself. Nolan.

The name sounded weird and it rang a bell. Merlin wasn't usually someone to forget something, so what was it? Why did the name Nolan ring a bell? Was it a good bell? Was it a bad one? He sighed. This was so unlike him.

He ran out of time to ponder, however, when he came upon the edge of the forest. Merlin wasn't scared. He knew that his magic could handle whatever was inside, but he wasn't stupid. He knew that there was at least some kind of danger. Whether it was from the forest creatures or something else, though, he wasn't sure.

"Are you scared?" Nolan mocked as he entered the forest. Merlin watched him. He wasn't scared, but only a fool would ignore the potential danger held in the forest. But it seemed logical that Nolan would ignore the danger. He seemed like a fool.
