Chapter Ten:

White As Her Hair.

I had a couple of classes with Jayden. Every time he entered one of those classes he would sigh in relief once he spotted me. He would make a beeline for a seat in anywhere in the vicinity of me. As he did now as he entered English. This time he was lucky enough to slip into the seat directly to my left.

"You have a thing for window seats." He says as he sits down.

So he had noticed. In my head the safest spot to sit in a room is in the middle row up against either the wall or the window. The teacher never calls on the people sitting there. Well almost never.

"You seem to have a thing for me." I answer without even having to think about.

I am getting better at comebacks. Well I was always good at comebacks I'm the only girl on the soccer team. But this was different, this was almost like... flirting.

"Naah, I'm just using you so I don't look like a complete loner." Jayden laughs at me grabbing my wrists before I can hit him. I'm starting to fall in love with his laugh. It's contagious.

"The season hasn't even started yet and you are already in your abusive ways." Dylan enters the class just as the teacher does. He has a way to never be officially late.

"Why are you in my English class?" I moan throwing my head back.

Dylan is one of those students. The ones that aimlessly fight with teachers and never shuts the hell up. I find it funny in classes that I don't actually enjoy. English was one of my favourite classes.

"Oh please." Dylan smirks at me taking the seat behind me. "You love me." He leans forward to whisper in my ear.

I try to reach behind me to hit him but he knew me too well. He had sat back as soon as he said it.

"Ms Carter. Is there a problem?" When I heard that voice I smiled.

"None at all Sir." Mr. Walker was my teacher last year.

I loved him. Not in a weird, I want to do my teacher thing. No not my type of thing. Even though he was just out of college and was very nice to look at he still wasn't my type.

"Good." He smiles at me.

He liked me as a student. I got the work done and always voiced my opinion in class. Mr Walker's eyes go from me to Jayden sitting beside me.

"You must be my new student." Jayden nods in a reply. "Seeing as you already no our lovely Lee why don't you tell us all about you."

I bite my lip from laughing. Jayden's cheeks go red from having all the eyes turn to him. He looks at me for help but when he sees I was enjoying this he pinches my leg under the table.

"Come on. This is English class you may as well get used to public speaking." Mr. Walker leans against the front of his desk.

Jayden sighs as he stands up. He looks around the room and so do I. Every girl in this room is practically drooling over him. Even the it girl of or school. I hadn't noticed her before but now as she flicks her hair over her shoulder I can smell her prostitute perfume from here.

Ashley White. White as in her hair, her heart and her natural skin tone. Her eyes leave Jayden for a second and fall on me. She gives me the dirtiest, coldest, bitchiest look she can muster. She hates my guts purely because I am always with all the lads. Also I may have laughed in her face when she asked me if I could talk to Sam about her. Oops.

Jayden notices the exchanges of glances. That is when Ashley turns back into her prissy self. I roll my eyes and turn to Dylan. He smiles softly at me. All the boys know the shit she puts me through.
