Back in Kris's house, Toriel turns on the news.

Toriel:
Kris sweetie, come look at what's on the news!

TV presenter (offscreen):
Local store owner "Sans" has been caught smuggling unhealthy supplies of ketchup and is currently on the loose launching ketchup across the entire town.

Kris:
Heh.

Toriel:
It looks an awful lot like the kind man who sold me some eggs just yesterday.

TV presenter (offscreen):
We have just received intelligence that suggests that the ketchup chucking vendor is also carrying pockets full of eggs and has been throwing them at customers who enter his shop, to which he then prompts a painstaking pun battle about eggs until he turns violent and telekinetically flings them at customers!

Chara finally leaves her room.

Chara:
What's this? An egg vendor terrorising the town?

Toriel:
I believe I know this man!

Chara:
Does he sell chocolate?

Toriel:
Well yes, I'd assume he would— Chara? Kris, where did Chara go?

Kris:
No idea.

Chara is sprinting towards Sans and now is demanding he give her a hit of whatever crack he's on.

Sans:
can't give it to ya, pal. i'm just the janitor. you think i can afford to work two jobs at once? i'm already underpaid enough.

Chara:
Just gimme some goddamn chocolate.

Sans:
wish i could, buddy, but my hands are full. with these eggs. hey, wait. actually, i have an idea.

Sans pulls out a few eggs.

Sans:
these eggs are all EGGceptionally durable, you know, the weather is so hot today that usually they'd crack, but for some reason they're EGGStraordinarily hard to break, so i just took to throwing them at people. wanna know my secret?

Chara:
Sure, I guess?

Sans:
I stuffed loads of rocks in them.

Chara:
I see...

Sans:
could you imagine the look on their face when they thing they've bought a bag of eggs but really it's just a dangerous small projectile inside of an edible object? really gives those jawbreaker sweets a run for their money, huh?

Chara:
Y'know what? I'm bored. I'm going back home.

Sans:
alright then, kid. hey, don't forget to stop by my store sometime!

Chara:
Sure, whatever.
