The midterm results had been announced on Friday, it was now Monday after basketball practice.
Rokuro: Alright fellas! Great practice! I have big news! This Friday we've got our first practice match of the year against Sekimoto High School! We're gonna have both Hitomi Hakuji and Sudo Ken playing! Hitomi at the 1 and Sudo at the 4! Great job guys!
The team dispersed
Sudo: AHHHHH HELL YEAH! WE DID IT HITOMI! LETS SHOW THOSE SEKIMOTO GUYS WHAT WE GOT!
Hitomi: Yeah sure man.
Hitomi was also very excited but he's just not great at showing it.
Two boys from Class 1-C weren't happy at this development.

Over the next few days Hitomi and Sudo practiced together every free moment they could. Horikita was getting slightly curious about it. After class on Thursday Horikita finally spoke up.
Horikita: Hitomi-kun, why are you all of a sudden practicing so much with Sudo-kun? Doesn't the inter high not start until late August?
Hitomi: Yeah it does, this is so we're ready for the practice match happening tomorrow. If we do good we could become regulars for the inter high and beyond. Maybe even starters.
Horikita: Oh I see... Well good luck I suppose.
Hitomi: Awww thanks pal.
Horikita: I am not your pal.
Hitomi: Yeah whatever you say pal.
He stood up and left after tapping her left shoulder playfully. Horikita looked at her left shoulder with a blank face for a few seconds before leaving.

Rokuro: Alright guys here's our starters for our game tomorrow.
PG: Hitomi Hakuji #11 (Class 1-D)
SG: Ashikagi Masahiko #8 (Class 2-B)
SF: Harada Daisuke #7 (Class 2-B)
PF: Sudo Ken #10 (Class 1-D)
C: Rokuro Makuto #5 (Class 3-A)
Sudo: Man I'm hyped!
Ashikagi: Would you chill? It's just a practice game. Hey can I sit the second half?
Rokuro: Nope. We need your shooting and help defense capabilities. Perhaps if we have a solid lead you'll sit out.
Ashikagi: Tch. Fine. As long as get a good lead...
Harada: OOOOOOO I JUST CAN'T WAIT TO GET SOME OF HITOMI-CHANS PASSES!!!!!
Ashikagi: Cool it Dai. You're gonna freak the kid out.
Harada: Hehe sorry Masahiko...
Hitomi went over to Sudo and whispered while slightly leaning in.
Hitomi: They're interesting characters.
Sudo: Ya don't say...

The next day came and the ANHS vs Sekimoto high practice match was about to begin.
Sekimoto captain: Huh? Wow Makuto you must really underestimate us if you think you can put some first year brats in the game and win.
Rokuro: Oh no not at all. These two will surprise you for sure.
Sekimoto player : Tch... I hate these shitty elites thinking they're better than us. I'll crush those first years.
