Chapter 7

Neo's POV:

I got home safely after my little rebel thingy with Aly. I rummaged through my bag and I saw a familliar necklace.

I saw Aly wearing this last Sunday. When she was with Yna and Kai.

I texted Yna and asked for Kai's number.

*Hi Kai! This is Neo, and I was wondering, where do you guys live?*

I hit the send button and after 10 seconds max, she replied.

That was fast.

*Find the first house you see in the woods. Goodluck.*

Hmm, not that hard. I used o go camping with my... brother, beside the falls, there's this huge vintage house. I think that's it.

I honestly don't know if I should go, or just give it to her tomorrow.

Maybe I should?

Okay. I may or may not be crushing on her.

Ugh. I mean, I need to know her. There's something different about her...

My brother came home and... I want to get out of the house so...

I went to find their house.

After a few minutes, I was right.

There she is, looking cute wearing a T-shirt and a pair of shorts.

We hanged out a bit, after I gave her her necklace, then suddenly someone was at the door.

I think its her boyfriend.

Now that I know she's already with someone, maybe we should at least be friends?

They were happily talking and I feel out of place.

I feel the need to get out.

I just hope she told me she has a boyfriend.

Oh well, we just met.

She walked me to the door and... I felt the awkwardness.

I went home and found out that my brother is the only one there.

"Neo. C'mon. Stop acting like a kid."

James. My good for nothing brother.

"I'm the little kid now? Intresting. I'm gonna head upstairs."

He grabbed my arms and looked at me straight in the eyes.

"I just want to talk..."

"Talk? TALK? Are you serious?!"

"C'mon. You can't hate me forever."

"Want me to prove you wrong?"

Then I rushed to my room. I just can't deal with this right now.

"C'MON!!"

My brother shouted. I slammed the door.

James' POV:

First. Isabelle, she basically raped me. But... I didn't say I didn't like it. Feisty. She's obsessed with me. Why is this my fault? I'm the good looking one.

My brother is mad, furious, angry, you name it.

HE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THE TRUTH.

I did like Isabelle for the women I thought she was. Not for the psychopath my brother dated

I decided to go out, and... I saw someone, who's really familliar, but I can't seem to remember.

"James!"

ALY?!

"Aly? Oh my gosh! Is that you? It's been a while. Still looks the same."

"The same?"

"Maybe a little... hotter?" I smirked.

"Cocky as ever, James."

"I missed you!"

"Too bad, I didn't."

"Ugh. Bitch."

We laugh together and I invited her inside.

"So, why are you here?" I asked her.

"Reunited with bestfriends, sister and brother."

"You're from here?"

She just raised her eyebrows, stating the obvious.

I met her last year in New Zealand, I was with my brother, and... Isabelle.

Those days when we were still.. "close"

"You didn't tell me, you were from here too."

"So did you, so?"

Then... just like clock works.

"James? Where are you? You want to talk? Then let's talk."

He was heading to the kitchen, then he saw us.

My brother decided to have that "talk with me" while, I am currently reuniting with a friend.

"Neo?"

"Aly?"

"Good. You remember each other."

"What? She's my classmate. What do you mean?"

"James, it's been a year. Don't expect him to remember me. Duh!?"

"But I did remember you."

"We were closer back then, Neo is always with his girlfriend."

"Wait, you know my ex?"

"Lil' brother, c'mon. Nicole? Ring a bell."

"Wait you are Nicole?" Neo

"Guilty. My second name." Aly

"Ugh. My brain is rusty af."

Okay. Wow.

"Bummer, I need to go."

She showed us her phone, *Incoming Call: Alex*

"Sure. Want me to walk you out?"

I offered.

"I'd love that."

Neo stayed at the kitchen, munching on junk. The usual.

"So, when will I see you again?"

"Flirting with me now huh? Well, I think I'm gonna stay."

She winked at me.

"Look who's not flirting."

"Oh shut up. Hahaha, see you when I see you."

And, she drove off.

I went back inside, to check on my brother.

"Are we gonna talk? Or what."
