Man In Uniform

Y/N stirred softly, her eyelids fluttering open as she became aware of the warmth surrounding her. She blinked, her vision clearing as she realized she was lying on top of with his strong arms wrapped securely around her. A blush crept up her cheeks as she remembered how they had fallen asleep together the night before, tangled up in each other's embrace.

"Morning," Charlie's deep voice rumbled from beneath her, sending shivers down her spine.

"Morning," Y/N replied, her voice barely above a whisper as she shifted slightly to gaze into Charlie's warm brown eyes.

Charlie smiled, his hand gently brushing a stray strand of hair away from Y/N's face. "You okay there, sweetheart?" he asked, his voice filled with tenderness.

Y/N nodded, feeling her cheeks flush even more at the endearment. "Yeah, just... a little embarrassed," she admitted, her voice tinged with embarrassment.

Charlie chuckled softly, his arms tightening around her as he pulled her closer. "No need to be embarrassed, Y/N," he reassured her, his voice gentle. "I love waking up with you like this." He was clearly still partially asleep if he actually said that out loud.

Y/N's heart fluttered at his words, a warm feeling spreading through her chest. She snuggled closer to Charlie, burying her face in the crook of his neck as she breathed in his comforting scent.

For a few moments, they lay there together in comfortable silence, enjoying the simple pleasure of being close to one another. But eventually, the reality of the day ahead began to sink in, and Y/N reluctantly pulled away from Charlie's embrace.

"I hate to break up the cuddle session, but I think we both have to get ready for the day," she said with a small smile, her voice tinged with regret.

Charlie sighed, but nodded in agreement. "You're right," he said, his voice tinged with disappointment. "I have to head into work soon."

Y/N nodded, feeling a pang of sadness at the thought of their morning together coming to an end. But she pushed the feeling aside, focusing instead on the warmth of Charlie's hand as he gently squeezed hers.

"Hey," Charlie said, his voice soft as he looked into Y/N's eyes. "I'll see you tonight, okay? And maybe we can pick up right where we left off."

Y/N smiled, her heart soaring at the thought of spending more time with Charlie later that evening. "I'd like that," she replied, her voice filled with happiness.

With one final lingering glance, Y/N reluctantly untangled herself from Charlie's embrace and climbed out of bed. As they went their separate ways to their rooms, she got ready for the day ahead, her mind was filled with thoughts of the man, and the promise of the evening to come. And as she headed out the door, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the simple moments of love and connection that she shared with Charlie Swan.

Y/N took one last look at Charlie, her heart swelling with admiration as he emerged from his bedroom dressed in his police officer uniform. She couldn't help but feel a rush of affection as she took in the sight of him, his tall, strong frame filling out the crisp blue uniform with ease.

"Wow," she breathed, unable to tear her eyes away from him. "You look... incredible."

Charlie chuckled, a hint of color rising to his cheeks at the compliment. "Thanks, angel," he said, his voice filled with warmth. "I'm glad you think so."

Y/N smiled, her heart fluttering at the sight of him. There was something undeniably attractive about a man in uniform, and seeing Charlie dressed for duty only served to deepen her feelings for him even more.

"You know," she said, her voice teasing as she stepped closer to him, "I think I might have a thing for men in uniform."

Charlie grinned, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Is that so?" he said, his tone playful. "Well, lucky for you, I happen to have more where this came from."

Y/N laughed, her heart soaring at the easy banter between them. She reached out to straighten Charlie's collar, her fingers lingering on the fabric as she met his gaze.

"I'll see you tonight, Officer Swan," she said, her voice filled with affection.

Charlie smiled, his eyes softening as he reached out to brush a stray strand of hair away from Y/N's face. "Can't wait," he replied, his voice filled with warmth.

With one final lingering glance, Y/N watched as Charlie headed out the door, his uniform-clad figure disappearing down the hallway. And as she went about her day, her thoughts were filled with the image of the man she loved, dressed in his police officer uniform, and the promise of the evening to come.

...

Y/N stood in the kitchen, preparing herself a simple lunch. She hummed a tune she had heard a few days earlier on the radio.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the front door opening, and Y/N's heart skipped a beat as Bella stepped into the kitchen, her expression unreadable. Y/N forced a smile, trying to push aside the anxiety that threatened to consume her.

"Hey, Bella," she said, her voice slightly strained. "How's it going?"

Bella glanced up at Y/N, her eyes narrowing slightly as she took in her presence in the kitchen. "Hey," she replied shortly, her tone guarded.

Y/N's heart sank at the sight of Bella's defensive demeanor, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of hurt that Bella did not like her. She knew they had a rocky start, but she hoped that Bella would be less reluctant to talk to her after she had a breather.

She watched Bella grab a snack from the fridge and head out of the kitchen without another word, Y/N couldn't help but feel a wave of anxiety wash over her. She knew that she liked Charlie, and that he liked her, but the thought of not being accepted by Bella weighed heavily on her mind; And, as she finished preparing her lunch, her thoughts were consumed by the worry that she might never be able to win Bella's approval.
