Punch

In shadows cast by pain's cruel light,

A heart once bold now quakes in fright.

A blow unseen yet deeply felt,

A punch to the soul where scars are dealt.

Like thunder crashing in the night,

Echoes of anguish, a relentless fight.

The world around me starts to blur,

As I reel from the blow, uncertain and unsure.

It's not just physical, this ache within,

But a soul-deep wound, where darkness begins.

I stumble, lost in this endless maze,

A shattered spirit trapped in a haze.

Pieces of me scattered, lost to the wind,

In the aftermath of the storm, where do I begin?

The laughter that once danced in my eyes,

Now drowned in tears, silent cries.

I search for solace in the depths of my soul,

But the pain persists, taking its toll.

I'm not the same as I was before,

That punch in the stomach, forevermore.
