Glancing at the clock, Adhira noticed that it was already 6:30 in the evening. Knowing that her husband would be returning home soon, she made her way to the kitchen.

Determined to make things right, she had decided to cook his favorite food for dinner.

As she entered the kitchen, she thanked God for noticing that Mukti was already there, preparing Maggi for herself.

Mukti greeted Adhira with a smile as she drew closer to her. "Maggi, bhabhi?"
Mukti asked, extending the bowl.

Adhira politely refused, prompting Mukti to nod and turn around to leave to be stopped by her.

"Di woh, aapke bhaiya ko khaane mein kya pasand hai?" Adhira asked in a slightly hesitant tone.

[What does your brother likes to eat]

Mukti couldn't help but smirk, as she saw Adhira fidgeting with the end of her suit's dupatta, nervousness evident on her face.

"Konse bhaiya bhabhi? Kabir, Veer yaa aapke woh?" She teased.

[Which one? Kabir, Veer or your someone special]

"Han mere woh." Adhira muttered, giving into her playful teasing.

"Aapke unko toh sab pasand hai, but he's really a big fan of paneer. Anything made with paneer, he absolutely loves it." Mukti shared with a smile.

As Mukti left from there, Adhira decided to prepare Shahi paneer for dinner. Because who doesn't like shahi paneer? And it's one of the best dishes, she can cook.

She was just getting started when Saanvika joined her in the kitchen to make evening tea for everyone.

"What are you cooking?" Saanvika asked curiously.

"Sahi paneer for dinner." Adhira replied passing a small smile to her.

"Hhmhn" She beamed. "What a lucky man, my boy is." She whispered, loud enough for Adhira to hear.

Adhira's face turned rosy as she felt the heat rise in her cheeks. She couldn't help but try to hide the smile that was itching to escape her lips, while she focused on chopping the tomatoes to grind them.

"Are you planning to serve him something sweet too?" Saanvika inquired while boiling the tea. Adhira looked up at her with a confused expression and shook her head.

Saanvika smirked as she moved closer to Adhira. "You know, the walls aren't soundproof, so I can have Kabir and Veer sleep downstairs today."

"Maaaaa!" Adhira's eyes widened in disbelief at what she was hearing.

Saanvika couldn't contain her laughter and burst into a fit of giggles, enjoying the changing expressions on Adhira's face.

While her heart swelled with love when she heard Adhira call her 'Maa'. It made her feel even more grateful to be a mother, not just to two, but to five children.

As the muffled sounds of conversation, drifted from the living hall into Saanvika's ears, she quickly poured water into two glasses realising that Vikram and Kabir had returned home.

Saanvika turned off the gas before moving out of the kitchen with the tray of water in her hand. As she walked into the hall, she noticed Vikram's absence.

"Where's Vikram?" She asked, handing a glass to Kabir.

"Bhaiya went to the other branch today, so he'll be coming home late." Kabir informed.
