Thank heavens that was over. I was normally a child who enjoyed class and learning but Miss Dinoraur (Yes, that really was her name and believe me, no one let her live it down) could make anyone want to jump out a second story window.

I hastily packed up my stuff and raced through the door, not taking the time to hear the rest of her little monolog. I was quickly pulled through the ocean of students who had flooded the hallways, all eager to get the canteen before the good food was gone.

As I was being swept through the hallways, I felt someone grab a hold of my arm. My instant reaction was to swipe the hand away and find the culprit and more than likely, punch them. Okay, sometimes I was a violent person, but mostly only when I am taken by surprise. The owner of the hand groaned at me and when I realized who it was a rolled my eyes at them.

“Do you always have to be so violent!?” Chase stated with annoyance.

“You took me by surprise. You should know by now not to do that.” I replied defensively. We hadn’t exchanged words since last night when he decided to play the Mr. Nice Guy card. We just went through are usual routine without a single comment, which was quite unusual for us, because normally he would make a starky comment and I would usually retort back sarcastically. It was just natural for us both I guess. Neither of us ever took any real offence from it, well I didn’t anyway. But I guess a bit of yesterday’s awkward situation still lingered in the air, making him think otherwise.

“Whatever, I just wanted to tell you that I have practice after school today. So…you can wait I guess, or, ehh work out some other way to get home.” He told me quite awkwardly, fumbling with his hands as he did so.

“Fine, I’ll get a lift or a taxi or something.” I wasn’t really trilled on the idea of getting another taxi after what happened last time, but I was definitely not waiting hours for him and buses were out... and horses.

“You shouldn’t have to do that. Can’t Paige give you a lift?” I was quite shocked that he knew Paige. But yeah, wait, Alex was his best friend and Paige was his sister and then I’m Paige’s best friend. Woo connections! I guess it is a small world.

“She gets one from a friend since Alex is her lift and he has practice too. Duh.” He was quite thick sometimes, but then I guess he wouldn’t really know about Paige’s car arrangements.

“Then just wait for me, I won’t be that long. Most girls want to watch us practice.” he muttered the last part, probably not wanting me to hear, but I did. I scoffed at him and rolled my eyes. He really was a conceited one, wasn’t he?

“I really don’t want to watch guys run after a ball and roll in mud for hours.” Truth was, I loved watching rugby. It was one of the sports I actually like, but I wasn’t going to tell him that.

“You’re so stubborn, you know that right! I know you like rugby, so come on you can endure it for a while.” How did he know…? Well I guess it seems he knows a lot more about me than I anticipated. I thought of how bad it could be, and then I thought of having to endure a long car ride with another creepy taxi driver.
