The Days That Were Ours

Do you remember
Asking me to brush your hair?
Sitting on your stomach and listening to what you said
Listening to songs
Sometimes we danced, sometimes cried
If you're reading this
I miss the days that were ours

Do you remember
When we watched movies
We used to talk about our daily memories
In the park, riding the bike, you often watched
If you're reminiscing
I miss the days that were ours

I wanted to stay out with you until late
You'd take me on a date with your cool boyfriend
I was waiting for your dress to be my size
If you're seeing this
I miss the days that were ours

We fought much more than other siblings
I wanted you to calm me down when I was crying
I can't remember much 'cause I was too young
If you're listening
I miss the days that were ours

I wish you'd say my nine and your nineteen would never happen again
I'm thinking about what if you had stayed a little bit longer
You left me much sooner than I needed you
Sometimes I forget that I have an older sister

Much more than ever because
I miss the days that were ours

The relationship between two sisters is not always supposed to be a fairytale. Sometimes it can be a scar that will never go away; However you're always waiting for it to happen

Here I just tried to remember the days I felt like a sister more than ever, and now I'm spending the days that there's no 'ours'
