Chapter 246: She's Not Simple

Recently, Seulgi had come to work at LM Corporation. Irene was the only one at home. She was not popular in the Manoban Residence, and the servants looked down on her. Usually, they would either mock her or order her to do things. She did not have any memories of the past, so she could not even kill time by recalling the past.

She really missed Seulgi. She wanted to stay with Seulgi. It didn't matter if Seulgi lost his temper at her. She didn't want to be alone. It made her feel as cold and suffocating as if she was drowned in seawater.

Fortunately, Seulgi told her that he would let her deliver food to the company at noon. Irene was very happy and had been preparing since the morning. She went to the market at six o'clock to buy the freshest ingredients and went home to start cooking seriously. When it was almost noon, she put the food into an exquisite and beautiful lunch box and arrived at the company expectantly.
However, the receptionist in front of her did not seem to want her to deliver the food personally. Irene felt panicked and uneasy, but she still insisted on delivering it personally.

She really wanted to see Seulgi, even if it was just for a while.

A look of disgust and frustration flashed across the receptionist's face when she saw Irene's stubborn expression.

When Manager Manoban met with the company's employees, he had already said that he was single. Handsome and rich men were naturally very popular with the female employees of the company, including her. Although she might not have the chance to become Seulgi's girlfriend, she could not bear to see other women having wishful thinking about Seulgi, such as the maid in front of her.

She could tell what Irene was thinking at a glance. When Irene mentioned Seulgi, her eyes would suddenly light up. That kind of gaze was really disgusting.

How could a maid have any relationship with Manager Manoban? How stupid and laughable. The receptionist rolled her eyes in disdain. "Oh, then send it over yourself."

Irene gritted her teeth. "Excuse me, which floor is he on?"

The receptionist smiled maliciously. "That I don't know. Don't you want to send it over yourself? Then go ahead."

Irene raised her eyes and looked at the receptionist. She understood that the other party knew, but she didn't want to tell her. Irene bit her lips tightly and walked to the stairs silently. She hesitated for a moment before taking out her phone and calling Seulgi.

"You're here?" Seulgi's voice was lazy and as pleasant as the bass of a cello. "Don't you know which floor I'm on? Can't you ask? Why do you have a mouth?"

Irene felt very aggrieved, but in the end, she only lowered her head. "I'm sorry. I don't know who to ask."

Seulgi told her the floor. Irene hurriedly took the elevator. A few minutes later, there was a knock on Seulgi's office door.
After the door opened, Irene carefully walked in. When she saw Lisa, she looked at Seulgi like a frightened rabbit.

Seulgi hooked his finger at her. "Come here."

Irene walked over and placed the lunch box on the table. Then, she opened the lunch box and took out the food. Seulgi looked at Lisa proudly. "How is it? Do you want to try my girlfriend's cooking? It's even better than the food made by a Michelin chef."

Lisa glanced at the food indifferently without any envy. "No need."

"Tsk tsk, Big Brother, has Sister-in-law never cooked for you before? Does she not love you enough?" Seulgi leaned forward, placed his elbows on the table, and looked at Lisa with a mischievous smile.

Lisa frowned. "She's my wife. I don't need her to cook for me. She can do whatever she wants."

Seeing that Lisa seemed to be unhappy, Seulgi quickly raised his hand. "Okay, okay, I won't say anymore. Alright, Irene, there's nothing else for you to do. You can go back."

Irene had been standing quietly at the side. When she heard Seulgi's words, she was a little disappointed. She had only seen Seulgi for less than two minutes, yet he wanted her to go back.

Irene did not say anything. She placed the last plate of pickled vegetables on the table and prepared to leave.

Unexpectedly, when Irene turned around, the sleeve of her coat accidentally touched a bowl of soup. The bowl of soup was placed near the edge of the table and fell down.

Irene's eyes widened. She subconsciously reached out and nimbly caught the bowl of soup. Not a single drop of the pork ribs soup splashed out.

Lisa also saw Irene's actions and frowned tightly.

Seulgi watched as Irene placed the soup bowl on the table and left the office, gently closing the office door.

"Did you see it?" Seulgi took a sip of the pork ribs soup and asked Lisa casually.

Lisa's expression was a little strange. "No wonder you asked me to investigate her identity." After two seconds of silence, Lisa shook his head. "I think her background is not simple. I advise you not to cause trouble. Besides, the two of you are not suitable at all."
