Chapter 220: Heavy Rain

Jennie looked out of the window. At this moment, the big trees on the street outside were blown askew. Raindrops the size of soybeans hit the window. A huge storm was about to descend.

Jennie turned her head away expressionlessly. Although she didn’t look emotional, there was a hint of hesitation on her face.

“Aiya, the rain is too heavy. What should we do without umbrellas? However, it’s probably useless even if we have umbrellas. The wind is also very strong.” Nayeon sighed worriedly as she secretly looked at Jennie. “It must still be very cold outside!”

Jennie rushed out of the dormitory door and saw Lisa standing by the roadside. She was so angry that she immediately walked forward and pulled him towards the door.

Was this person crazy? Why didn’t he hide in the rain? Jennie saw that the man was drenched, but his bright and passionate eyes were fixed on her. She couldn’t help but glare at him. “What are you looking at?! Hurry up and go back. Are you playing the tragic male lead here?”

When Lisa saw Jennie, his heart instantly burned. He wanted to hug Jennie tightly, but then he remembered that his body was covered in rain, so he only looked at her seriously. “Jen, I’m sorry. It’s my fault.”

Jennie looked at him strangely. This fellow, did he know why she was angry? He apologized without knowing anything. He was so perfunctory. It was obvious that he was insincere!

Lisa watched as the young lady pouted her pink lips and puffed up her cheeks. Her cute and delicate appearance almost softened his heart. He lowered his head and looked at Jennie gently. “Although I don’t know why you’re angry, if it’s because of me, I’ll apologize to you. You can punish me however you want, but don’t ignore me, okay?”

Jennie’s heart softened when she heard the slight grievance in his tone. She was about to say something when another person rushed out of the dormitory building.

Nayeon looked at the two of them hiding under the roof and couldn’t help but sigh exaggeratedly. “Does falling in love really make people stupid? It’s raining so heavily. Jen, didn’t you bring an umbrella when you came out?” Nayeon handed the umbrella in her hand to Jennie and then turned around and returned to the dormitory. She was very aware to not become the third wheel.

When Lisa heard Nayeon’s words, he looked at Jennie in surprise. He didn’t expect Jennie to be in such a hurry to look for him that she forgot to bring an umbrella.

Jennie glared at Lisa when she saw his happy gaze. “I just happened to forget to bring it.”

“Yes, I know.” Lisa smiled and nodded. He looked at the rain outside and turned to Jennie. “Jen, can you unblock my number? I’ll explain it to you slowly. Go back first and don’t get wet by the rain.”

Jennie opened the umbrella. “I’m not that weak. Let’s go. I have something to tell you.”

Lisa’s car was parked on the main road beside the dormitory building. It took about two minutes for the two of them to walk over. Along the way, Lisa kept tilting the umbrella towards Jennie. His entire body was exposed to the rain. Jennie looked at Lisa’s careful care for her and felt a little guilty for a moment. Why did she have to be angry with Lisa? She clearly knew that Lisa loved her.

However, she was really angry at that time. She only knew that she didn’t want to see Lisa. She wanted to vent the anger and dissatisfaction in her heart. She had never felt so uncomfortable and aggrieved before.

The two of them got into the car. Lisa turned on the heater and drove Jennie to a nearby five-star hotel to book a presidential suite.

“Go in and take a shower.” Jennie looked at the drenched Lisa. “I’ll order you something to eat.”

“Honey, you’re the best.” Lisa reached out and gently touched Jennie’s cheek. He heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that Jennie didn’t avoid him.

This should be considered coaxing her. The power of the young lady’s anger was indeed terrifying. It seemed like he had to be more careful in the future. What if the young lady’s health was damaged because of anger? At that time, his heart would still ache.
