If there's one piece of advice I could give you, it'd be to never trust anyone but yourself. Sorry to break the news folks but you're not gonna get an Edward Cullen or a Prince Charming. The chance of that would but a stick thin 1%. Don't get deceived by their looks and for Mother Teresa's sake stop gaping your mouths whenever you see that fit dude on TV.

My name's Kasey. Imma straight-talking, forever-people-meeting, baseball-batting, mood-killing chick who is fifteen years of age. My eyes are the colour of the Pacific Sea, my hair is the colour of the golden sunset but my hair tends to be the equivalent of a jungle. I talk realistically and never of fantasy because reality is a fact and fantasy is just an irritating subject that can simply put your life on the line. Yes, you're probably lost. But don't worry your little cotton socks... all shall be revealed...

It was just another fresh late spring morning and I had just walked through the school's rustic, crimson gates. Bethany immediately ran up to me powering up her slim and slender daddy long legs; Bethany is freakishly tall that had been blessed with a face of an angel.

"Oh my gosh Kasey! Hey sister! How's it going?" she said in her signature chirpy voice.

"Hey Beth, not bad thanks you? You seem a tad over excited today, what happened?"

"Jolly jolly good! I'm over the moon! Whoever said that phrase 'love at first sight' is a genius! Mrs Kerby came out to tell me that THAT fit guy over there is our new classmate! I haven't got round to greeting him yet. Y'know I needed your approval and you need to fix my makeup and hair before I get in!" she grinned whilst looking over to a lost looking boy sitting on a bench by himself.

I inspected him for a precise three seconds before Bethany would get hot and flustered that I was interested in her 'love at first sight'. He had wispy, mousy brown hair that reminded me of a surfer guy. It just flowed around his face like a neat but mysterious frame. His eyes were amber which had a tint of red in them and his skin glowed like a sun sitting behind a canopy of trees. I wasn't attracted but I was if that makes sense. It's like I didn't fall for him in any sexual or relationship manner. It was just the fact that he seemed mysterious.

I put Bethany's loose tendril of hair behind her ear and got rid of the eyeliner that had been smudged on the corner of her left eye.

"Go do your thing Bethy babes! Haha I'll watch just in case if he decides to be a prick and makes me bring out the baseball bat." I reassured her.

"Hahaha! Don't worry, I'm sure I can use my kung fu skills and be a ninja to defeat him if he ever turns into a prick!" Bethany winked at me and took her steps towards the boy.

He immediately rose from the vintage, cream coloured bench and smiled whilst shaking her hand. I envied his teeth, his hair, his skin, his everything. I'm just the mood-killing chick with lousy curls that can sometimes look like a bomb exploded in it.

At my moment of boy-inspecting, the mystery boy and Bethany started walking towards me.

"Theo this is my best chum Kasey, Kasey this is Theodore but call him Theo!"

Someone clearly got a boner.

"Hey" I said as I shook his hand.

"BLIMEY" was my instant reaction. His hands felt like a silk cushion that had been massaged with lavender essential oil enriched with the oils of the friggin' Amazon rainforest. I don't care how cheesy that sounds but his hands are worth the ultimate cheesiness! I found that INCREDIBLE as it was a sign that this young fellow takes care of his skin which meant he must be taking part in exercise along with a good diet. That's simply remarkable as no boy in our school would ever bother in our school apart from the sports-playing bit.

"Hello there." He said in a mellifluous voice that seemed to echo right through me. I thought I was bloody being hypnotised. He wasn't like the others who never looked at the face. He was generally a nice chap. Oh God I can hear your thoughts - I don't like him okay!

Bethany was about to speak when the school bell drowned out her first word.

"Dammit I was about to talk!" Bethany angrily exclaimed.

"Well you can talk later... Kasey don't you talk?" Theo asked.

I immediately got offended and turned off. Forget what I said up there. It's bullshit.

"Yes I can thank you very much. Don't act like you know me cause buddy you don't know a thing. Now if you don't mind I have registration to get to" I snapped.

I instantly headed to the big, deep blue door that had a golden lion's head doorknob.

"Sorry about that..."

"It's cool... Corrr feisty one she is!"
