NARRATORS POV:

As they sat in her dusty and chaotic penthouse, she ranted to him about everything that has happened in the past week.

She talked about all the party's, and all the shows and photo shoots and everything.

He sat there eating his stale cereal as he nodded every once in a while.

He was listening and was interested, though it didn't look like it at all.

She didn't realise she was yapping a lot, but all she could concentrate on was that they were sitting on her floor and eating cereal together, talking.

Just like before.

For a moment, they both forgot about everything that has happened in the past few months.

All the arguments, the breakup, everything.

He felt guilty.

As he should.

Elenas words got to him.

And he made a promise to himself on the way to the airport to never hurt her again.

No matter what.

Because she was what made him, him.

Anyways,

°

Later that night, they were cuddling on her couch, just like they used to.

They were watching The Notebook for what seemed like the millionth time.

Well....she was watching it, he was fast asleep.

It was the end of the movie and she was silently sobbing into a pillow, trying not to wake him up, but failing.

She felt him rub her back and kiss her temple.

He was used to this, I mean, they watched the movie a million times and she still crys more and more every single time they watch it.

Who doesn't?

'it's okay love. It's fiction you don't need to worry. And plus they died together.'

'you don't get it'

She sobbed into his shoulder, he decided not to argue against it.

Even though it did make him tear up a few times, he never violently sobbed like she did.

She sobbed as if her whole family died.

He wasn't a big fan of romances, he only watched them because she liked them.

But nothing would ever beat their afternoons where they would cuddle up and watch crime documentarys together.

Something just hit different about that.

Her phone buzzed a few times but she didn't bother check what it was.

She was too busy crying into his shoulder.

But he saw the messages.

They were a few messages from Nle Choppa, but they were just some useless messages.

'what did you have for dinner?'

And

'was ur flight bumpy?'

He trusted her, so he didn't care.

And anyways, Nle was no competition.
