Chapter 5:

When Dean and Haley were grabbing some pie, Haley saw some kids her age laughing and chilling at their table. Dean noticed and said.

Dean: you okay?
Haley: yeah... I'm fine
Dean: really? Because you haven't eaten anything, wouldn't want this pie to go to waste
Haley: I like pie, but I'm not hungry anymore
Dean: can I have it

Haley shrugs and Dean grabs it and digs in and Haley rolls her eyes, she didn't realize how much her dad loves pie.

???: hey...

Both Dean and Haley looked up.

Haley: *nervous around the boy that approached them* h-hi
Boy: my friends and I were wondering if it was okay if, she hang out with us this afternoon
Haley: dad is that okay?

Dean smiled when Haley called him dad.

Dean: I'm not sure Haley. I don't know any of these kids in the neighborhood
Haley: please dad, I have my phone, if something happens I'll call you, remember?
Dean: well alright, keep my girl safe. What's your name?
Boy: Natt, if you have any questions my dad is the owner of the diner
Haley: your dad runs a diner
Natt: yeah
Haley: my mom use to run a diner as well
Natt: I'm sorry used too?
Haley: she passed away
Natt: I'm sorry
Haley: it's okay
Dean: well I'll let you go if you promise me you will text me when you're leaving locations and have your location on. Answer me so I know you're not in trouble
Haley: *roll eyes* gosh dad why you're always on my case

Dean raised his eye brow at her.

Haley: *gulps* yes sir, I promise
Dean: good

Natt walks Haley over to his friends.

Natt: hey guys I brought her over, everyone meet Haley, Haley these are my friends, my brother Alex, my friend Thomas, Rosalina who goes by Rose, David, Qassim.

Haley's POV
Natt who I just found out was in a band with these guys who I never heard of and Natt liked that because normally when he gets out in public he always gets recognize. Rose seems intimated by me and then I found out that she used to date Natt. I saw my dad left and he smiled at me before he left and I waved at him.

Rose: who's that?
Haley: my dad
Rose: are you from around here? I don't recognize you
Haley: my family and I are on vacation we are living in the beach house for the week
Oassim: he looks a little young to be your dad
Haley: that's because him and my mom had me at 16
Rose: really? and how old are you?
Haley: 14
Rose: your around our age group
Natt: hey guys we should get out of here. I have to be home soon and I want to be able hang out with Haley some more
Haley: where do you guys want to go?
David: we can go to the park
Haley: that sounds fun, let me tell my dad first
Rose: do you have to tell your dad everything?
Haley: only because he doesn't know this state well and he has to get to know some of your parents too before he can learn to trust me around you you guys
Natt: understandable, our dad is that way too since I'm always with my little brother Alex. It's just him, me and my dad
Haley: it's just me, my dad and uncle. They're the only blood family I have
Natt: I understand

Haley texted her dad her next location and he allowed it and they went off to hang out in the park.

Haley didn't realize how long they have been staying at the park until she realized the streetlights were turning on.

Haley: shit! What time is it!
Rose: um about to be 7
Haley: shit! Shit! Shit! *takes her phone out and look at her phone messages*

Dean had left her 3 messages and nothing.

Dean: Haley, where are you?
Are you still at the park?
Answer me Haley?

Haley checked her missed calls from Dean and Sam.

Haley: fuck! I have to go, I didn't realize my phone was on do not disturb

Haley sees the impala approaching the park area and she said to them.

Haley: run! Run!

Haley and her friends runs the opposite decoration of the impala as they started walking they ran.

Dean noticed the escaped and speed up after them and blocked them when they were about cross the street. Her and her new friends made a halt not to get run over and Dean rolled the window down and it was Sam and Dean.

Dean: yeah I don't think so, get in the damn car!

Haley jumped and her friends said goodbye to her and ran the opposite direction and went home themselves. Haley sighs and got in the back seat, and Dean turns around.

Dean: that is the last time I'm ever going to allow you to hang out with those kids without meeting their parents. You're damn lucky your locations was still on and we were able to find you
Haley: I'm sorry it was an accident
Dean: be quiet, I don't want to hear your mouth until we get home. Sit in silence and put your seat belt on

Haley sighs and puts her seatbelt on and Dean turns back around. Haley silently let a few tears dropped and Sam noticed and wanted to say something to her so badly to make sure she was okay but Dean was already pissed enough as is.

When they reached home, Haley was order on the couch while Sam brought Dean to the other room.

Sam: Dean I think we should lay off
Dean: and excuse her behavior? I don't think so, she tried to run away
Sam: I know but she was really upset back there, you didn't see it because you were upset. I don't think she ever cries
Dean: *sighs* yeah Sonny says she rarely cries she's been a strong girl. That's why her mom can never tell when something is bothering her
Sam: we did tell her 3 warnings
Dean: what am I supposed to do? Excuse this behavior? Absolutely not
Sam: she can write lines or do chores when she gets back home from vacation. Come on Dean, this is her first punishment since being here and I want her to get to know the real us before we get you know tough.
Dean: fine... Haley, can you come here for a minute

Haley walks into the kitchen with her head down.

Haley: yes Dean?
Dean: sir we need to talk

Haley sighs and sit down and looked up at them.

Haley: first of I want to say, before we discuss punishment. I'm truly sorry. I did not know my phone was on do not disturb. I didn't mean to ignore you guys, I swear and the running away thing I didn't mean to do that either. I was just mad that out of all the kids I was the only one that has to constantly text you guys my location no matter where I go
Sam: still think she deserves a punishment Dean?
Dean: fine... you get one warning, you get to 3 I'm done.
Haley: really? Thanks Dean! *gets up and hugs him*
Dean: you're welcome *hugs back* but... you should really be thanking your uncle if it wasn't for him I would be on your ass the minute I found you
Haley: thanks Uncle Sam *gives him a hug* but I am really trying to be good guys. I want you guys to know a different Haley, not the Haley I used to be
Sam: that's good to here Haley, but what's with the sudden change
Haley: I see how you guys make an effort to take care of me. I love mom but she rarely made an effort, she keep saying she does to people so she doesn't get in trouble, but the minute she's alone with me she does do anything but yell at me, that's it. You guys are different you give me consequences that mom is afraid of giving me
Dean: I told you Sam
Sam: she doesn't need it Dean, because she realize that she is not the same Haley she used to be now that she's in a new environment. She's trying to change for us Dean. We can't focus on what the old Haley is going to do without giving the new Haley a try
Dean: fine... but... if the old Haley suddenly makes her way back, I'm stopping the deal and we are immediately handing out punishment
Haley: I'm okay with that, all I ask is to give me a chance the way mom never did
Dean: how ever you're writing me lines for running away from us. I won't count the phone or being out late since you admit what happened
Haley: thanks Dean
Dean: you're welcome, did you eat?
Haley: kind of? Did Jody make dinner?
Dean: she sure did, eat up then get ready for bed because we are all going shopping in the morning
Haley: okay

Dean ruffles her hair and Sam hand her dinner and she gracefully ate it with a smile on her face happy to have new respect from her family.
