To leave the house as soon as possible, the power having gone out was a sign of nothing but bad things to come, which in Phaedra's mind translated into a poltergeist having someone come from the spirit board.

So neither she nor Piper were honestly willing to stay in the house any longer, despite having grown up in it most of their lives.

"I don't care what you think," Piper continued to speak yet not seeing the point in arguing as she and Phaedra quickly moved to grab their coats off of the coat rake. "we're leaving."

"Don't you think you two are overreacting," Prue asked with a raise of one of her eyebrows, still ignorant to what was going on around her given the fact that she hadn't seen any of it. "we are perfectly safe here?"

However, instead of calming down like she hoped her first younger sister would, Piper's eyes only widened as Phaedra gasped from behind her, both of their eyes turning toward Prue in shock.

"Don't say that," Piper quickly scolded her older sister in a lowered tone, paranoid and fearful as if the entity was listening to them at that very moment. "in horror movies, the person who says that is always the next to die."

Hearing her first younger sister freaking over what she thought was less than nothing, Prue couldn't help but huff as she continued to follow after them.

"Piper, we're supposed to be the rational ones." Prue spoke not understanding why her sister was acting so out of wack, given she'd only stepped out of the room for a few seconds before she'd suddenly been brought onto the 'paranormal' side.

However hearing her sister's comment, Phaedra couldn't help the way her face twisted up, her eyebrows pulled together and her nose scrunched up making her confusion and bewilderment known on her face whilst she turned toward her oldest sister.

"You two, the rational ones," Phaedra immediately asked as she looked over at Prue, finding it completely insane that she was even attempting to call her irrational after what she'd just seen. "I am super-rational, this is the perfectly rational reaction to a poltergeist."

Finishing off her words, Phaedra stomped her foot motioning back over toward the dining room and the spirit board, however, her overly animated reaction only pulled an eye roll from her oldest sister. Prudence having not seen any of the ghostly apparitions that the three of her sisters claimed to have witnessed, only caused the woman to cross her arms over her shoulders refusing to believe a word being spoken to her.

"It's not a poltergeist," Prue rebutted crossing her arms over her chest, not even for a moment attempting to believe what the two were spouting on about. "but it is pouring rain outside, and all you're wearing is a tank top, sweatpants, and one of my ex-boyfriend's jackets."

As she listed off what Phaedra was wearing at the moment, the youngest of the Halliwell daughters not having the time to change into anything else, she honestly had barely managed to grab the clothes out of the spare closet if it wasn't for Piper accompanying her to do it.

Phaedra couldn't help but cross her arms out over her waist, tilting her head up not ashamed of the outfit she'd barely gotten into to leave the house, however, she knew that Prue was ultimately right.

There was a big thunderstorm currently going on outside the doors of the Halliwell manor, which could have been an explanation for the power outage, but something deep inside Phaedra was telling her this was more.

Yet every horror movie she'd ever watched was quick to influence her decisions as she refused to be the idiot background character that ended up possessed and thrown threw a window.

"Plus there's a psycho on the loose," Prue continued her rant as she saw her words starting to get through her youngest and second youngest sister's minds, once again mentally titling herself the most rational of the three of them. "you have nowhere to go, Jeremy's not home, remember?"

Realizing Prue was once again right about them not having anywhere to go, Piper could only for a second shy away from her honest and pessimistic words, however, after seeing the planchette move in a way it only would in movies.

Piper wanted to be anywhere but in the house right now.

"We'll...wait in the cab until he gets back from work." She continued with a small stutter as she quickly stormed across the foyer to grab a hold of the home phone, pausing for a moment to look at Prue in triumph before she dialed the number for a cab.

"Oh, that'll be cheap." Prue scoffed sarcastically as she crossed her arms from behind Phaedra, watching on as the two attempted to leave their childhood home for a reason she felt was less than idiotic.

"Then we'll go to a cafe, a pizza shop, a donut shop for all I care," Phaedra spoke up a list off the top of her head in desperation, more willing to stay in a late-night soup kitchen than sit in a haunted house. "because we saw that pointer move."

Seeing the honest fearful look on Phaedra's face, Prue paused for a moment still unwilling to believe in something she knew was impossible, causing her to only turn over toward Piper instead.

"There was no one near it Prue." Piper spoke with a shake of her head, lowering the phone for a second to persuade her older sister to believe even a fraction of what they were trying to tell her they'd witnessed.

However, there was a heavy veil set over Prue's eyes, the woman unwilling to believe what her sisters were saying to her despite the fearful expression the two of them were currently wearing.

"Yes there was," She insisted despite not being in the room, however, she knew that before she left it was Phoebe who was the closest to the spirit board and most likely behind this entire 'joke'. "Phoebe, whose fingers pushed the pointer, because she's playing a joke on us, there's nothing in the attic."

"That's the thing, Prue," Piper quickly rebutted as she looked at her older sister fearful, getting that same feeling as Phaedra since she knew something supernatural was going on; she'd seen it. "we don't know that, because we can't even get the freaking door open."

The sudden revelation and reminder that the three of them had recently and continuously failed to get open the door of the attic ever since their Grams'd died, visibly caused Prue to pause unable to explain the strange phenomenon.

"Months we've been living here," Piper continued knowing she'd drawn on a possible clear sign that the house was haunted, which only brought her to finally bring the home phone up to her ear yet not using it yet. "and that door hasn't once been able to open, Phae used to run in and out of there all the time, then..."

With that the second oldest of the family trailed off, letting the silence speak for her however not breaking eye contact with Prue despite Phaedra's constant movement as she glanced between the two waiting on one of them to make some kind of decision.

Not wanting to stay in their home, however also unwilling to leave any of her sister's behind instead waiting impatiently for some kind of instruction as she watched Piper attempt to use the home phone.

Prue on the other hand silent for once instead of crossing her arms waiting to see the outcome of the phone call before she once again rebutted against their decision.

However, a conversation with her television boyfriend to find a safe place for the night or any kind of words of reassurance wouldn't be brought any time soon Piper ultimately realized, as her desperate dials of the phone were met with nothing.

Not even a buzz or static flowing from the other end of the home phone.

"Great, now the phone doesn't work." She couldn't help but sigh fearfully as more horror movie-type situations were building on top of themselves, causing a chill to run down her back as she slammed the phone back on the receiver.
