January 30th 1978

I woke up with my head throbbing and in an unfamiliar room, did I really get that drunk?

“Oh, well, you're awake.” Sirius says, oh I must be in Sirius's dorm.

“Yep.” I said, now sitting up.

“Here, drink some water.” Sirius says while handing me a glass of water.

“Thanks.” I replied. I drink almost the entire cup in one sip.

“Hey, easy, don't want you throwing up.” Sirius says. I drag my feet over the bed.

“Uh, thank you for everything, but I better go.” I said.

“Are you sure you're okay? You were really drunk last night.” Sirius asked.

“Yeah, I'm fine. Just had something come up, but it's better now.” I replied.

“You know you can always talk to me if you need it.” Sirius says.

“I will keep that in mind. Thank you again.” I replied, then got up and left.

Later that day, after I had showered and got freshen up, I was walking to the Quidditch pitch to do a few loops. I still looked like I was dying of the plague, but I looked significantly better than this morning.

“Hey.” Said James who was jogging up to me.

“Hello.” I replied.

“Are you well now?” He asked.

“What?” I asked.

“You were a little wasted last night.” James replied.

“Oh shit, you saw me.” I said.

“Well, a little more than that I brought you to Sirius because you didn't seem well.” He explained.

“I am so sorry you had to see that.” I said.

“No, it's okay, I have had to dream with Sirius being way more wasted than you before,” James replied.

“Well, either way, that's embarrassing. I'm sorry.” I said.

“Don't be its water under the bridge.” James said.

“Thanks for that.” I replied.

“Where are you off to?” James asked.

“To the Quidditch pitch to do a few laps.” I said.

“Mind if I join you?” James asked.

“I don't mind.” I said.

“Well, let's go then.” James said. I started walking alongside James towards the pitch.

After much more than ‘a few’ rounds around the pitch, I was flushed and heavily breathing from the adrenaline and fast racing. I depart towards the ground to put my stuff away.

“That was fun,” James says.

“Yeah.” I said.

“We should do this again sometime soon.” James replied.

“Sure.” I replied.

“We better go to dinner,” James says.

“You're right. I'm starving now that I think about it.” I blurted out.

“Well, we better go in that case,” James replied.

I walked to the Slytherin table in the Great hall in my usual area.

“Where were you last night?” Barty questions.

“Doing some brotherly bonding.” I replied.

“Oh, really?” Evan asked.

“No, not really. I got wasted on some cheap liquor.” I said.

“And didn't invite us?” Barty teased.

“Nope, party of one.” I said.

“Then where did you really stay?” Evan asked.

“In my brother's dorm.” I replied.

“Oh, so that part was real?” Evan asked.

“I guess so.” I said.

“You always have all the fun,” Barty whined.

“Don't worry, you will see your action tonight.” Evan said with a smirk.

“Ew guys, not with me in the bedroom.” I groaned.

“I will put a silencing spell up for your poor virgin ears.” Barty said.

“Oh, because that makes it so much better.” I said.

“Don't knock it till you try it.” Barty says. I rolled my eyes.

“How about we go back to the dormitory and start that now?” Evan says.

“Sounds good.” Barty says.

“I will wait an hour until I go up then.” I said.

“Don't worry, we will be done in thirty.” Evan says.

“Oh great, I will be up sooner than before.” I said sarcastically.

“See you soon,” Barty says while blowing me a kiss.

I walked around the castle at random at this point because I was bored and I had already finished my book I was reading. I wouldn't dare go back to the dorm for an hour just in case because I really didn't want to hear my best friends doing anything.

“What are you doing?” Sirius asked.

“Just walking around.” I replied.

“You have walked in a circle at least five times.” Sirius said.

“You counted?” I asked.

“Yep.” Sirius said.

“Well, I'm actually waiting for my friends to be done with the dorm.” I said.

“Done with what?” Sirius asked.

“Sex.” I said.

“Oh God in the dorm right now?” Sirius asked.

“Yeah, I learned my lesson the last time I walked in on it.” I said.

“walled in on it?” Sirius asked.

“Yeah, that was awful.” I said.

“Sounds like it, but to be fair, James has walked in on me, so I can't say much.” Sirius replied.

“I didn't need to know about that.” I said.

“Well now, you know,” Sirius said with a smirk.

“Godric, you're as bad as Barty. I swear his mind is just oriented towards sex.” I said.

“That's not all I think about,” Sirius said offendedly.

“Oh right, pranks as well.” I replied.

“Bingo.” Sirius replied.

“I think I can go back now, but thanks for the chat.” I said.

“See you.” Sirius said.

I got back to the dorm, and it was dead silent. I looked over to Barty's bed where Evan and Barty were passed out in it. I walk over to my bed and pull out my pajamas and change into them. It was baffling to think only hours ago I had been given that awful letter and as baffling as it seemed I wasn't concerned about it, I would find a way out either way. I always do, so this won't be any different.
