I had just left a family reunion, hosted at my nana's house. The ride over there was a good 45 minute drive but driving back was fast. Probably because i be acting like a NASCAR racer.
I hopped into my new car which was a Polestar 2, an electric car. When it first came out like me, I grew fond of it day by day.
I was playing my playlist, currently listen to Never Lose Me by Flo Milli. I was about 35 minutes away from my house as i drove down the highway. Looking at my fuel tank seeing it at %48, i decided to stop at a gas station nearby.
I looked for any open spots before seeing one up closer to the store. I quickly got there as i seen another car heading for the same spot.
The car had no other choice but to back up. I smiled triumphantly as i grabbed my purse & my phone, getting out of the car.
As i walked in the store, i decided to get some snacks before heading to the counter. I looked up seeing a cute lightskin girl with blonde dreads. She looked at me and smiled as she rang up my items.
" Yall dont happen to have a charging spot for electric cars do you?" I asked as the total popped up on the little screen.
" Nah not out here" The girls hoarse voice spoke as she took the 20 from my hand. I nodded as she handed me my bag. I told her to keep the change as i turned on my heels leaving.
