When Nia's alarm went off at 6 am on Saturday morning, she was already up. In fact, she had already been up for about an hour.

She woke in the dark of her typically bright room abuzz with excitement pending her date that evening amongst her several pillows and plush duvet. It was like Colin had somehow permeated her REM cycle, and infiltrated her dreams with his silky looking skin and plump lips. Butterflies swirled in her chest, and the birds chirping outside her window felt like they were flying around her head as she blinked her eyes open.

The dizzying feeling of infatuation was enough for Nia to swat away the residual mirages of the sandman and check her schedule for the day instead of trying to go back to sleep.

"That's enough of that." Nia muttered to herself as she sat up against her wooden headboard.

Though it wasn't to her detriment, she was wide awake, nearly an hour ahead of her regular schedule, and in need of a distraction. Nia reached for her iPad, stylus and thick, black frames from her tiled nightstand. She pushed her heavy glasses up her nose just before cutting her Saturday morning's sleep til 6 block short to reflect her accurate 5:05 AM wake up time. She glanced at her next two days:

Nia sighed. She couldn't think of anything useful to fill the next hour. Everything she thought of was aimless; from rolling around in bed, to reading a book or scrolling through social media. This is exactly why she only dated on weeknights. The weekends were for complete and utter rest and relaxation... that she scheduled to a tee.

Nia was unsettled. Now her vibe was off but she didn't want it to be. As the denim sky brightened, the optimist in Nia decided to get up, spread her bed, make a cup of coffee and squeeze in one Real Housewives episode. The scripted drama would be a sufficient distraction and if timed correctly could bring her to 6:00.
