Pattern

He knew the pattern quite well
He falls, scraping his knees
He gets up, cleans them up and covers them with bandaids
He feels better, he doesn't need the bandaids anymore
But then
He falls again.
And the cycle repeats
Like a pattern

He knew the signs
He could see the cracked pavement
He saw the hazards that could trip him
But he thought he'd make it this time
So he tried
And failed.
Just like the pervious times
And he'll continue to fall and fail.
He's stuck in cycle that cannot be prevailed.
