~Your POV~

'patrol is so boriiing..' i thought as i looked down at the ground, seeing j and v talk to each other. they looked so small down there. ah and theres n, tryina talk to them, but of course gets criticized, fell bad for the guy.

anyways, as i start getting ready to land, i spot a worker drone, a purple one... huh. alright, lets just get this over with

i pull my wings closer to my body and have my arms and legs tight together, that way i can cut through the air faster.

as i'm diving through the air, i get ready to land and attack the worker. and— wait, is that a railgun? welp this is gonna be a bit longer then i thought

"well well well... what do we have here?" i say as i land in front of the worker, causing her to fall back.

"lets make this quick alright? so just give up and let me—" i was cut off by the sound of the railgun powering up, and before the worker blasted the gun at my face, i dodged

"BITE ME, get the hell away from me, creep!" the purple worker shouted. i felt... hurt.. i guess.

i stopped in my tracks and stood there, shocked... but i've been told worse before, so i get ready to attack her again before... n?!

"n- what the?!—" once again i was cut off by a blast and everything went black...

i gasp and i shot up from where i'm laying and i see j

"what are you doing laying on the floor and not patrolling? stop sleeping and get tf up!" j shouted at my face and flew away (ik this is sorta ooc but i felt like she needed to be a bit more mean then she usually is, sorry ya simps)

i get up lazily and feel like breaking down.. i mean, whats our whole purpose of being here, killing 'rouge' ai? i sigh and get back to patrolling

~Time skip, and V's POV~

i dont usually care for people (no v is a liar she cares for people) [v currently breaking the fourth wall] hell— let me talk god damnit

anyways, i'm not the kind of person to care for others, but lately i've been seeing (Y/N) like crap by j, and since n and (Y/N) are close, its weird not seeing them together all the time

n has been more... distant... i guess with (Y/N), i guess he has since they tried to kill that purple thing, cant blame them though, i would want to kill that purple biych too

but its honestly kinda, sad? i dunno, just never seen (Y/N) so sad or upset before. i'll go talk to them later.

anyways, as i snap out of my thoughts, i spread my wings and getting ready to go hunting as i spot someone at the corner of my eye, 'well speak of the devil themselves'

"hey, (Y/N), come over here, gotta talk to you about something" i say to them as they look a bit startled, they wipe their tears? wait, they were crying?

as (Y/N) wipes their tears and approaches me, i open my arms and embrace them with a hug that seemed to surprise them.

they hugged back and cried. thiissss was weeiirrrdddddd— i'm not the type to comfort but i guess to get them to stop crying, i dunno—

*(underline V)*

"now explain"

"h-huh.?"

"explain to me what happened"

"o-oh.. well, its just the routine we're a-always doing... j treating me like shit... n ghosting me.. i'm just sick of how we have to do the same thing everyday.. hide, hunt, repeat. i'm just sick of it!" (Y/N) rants to me as i just hug them tighter, making them squeeze me back

"ah.. well, if thats the case then you could talk to me? and we could try to figure out what to do then if that makes you feel better?" i asked, looking at them

"that.. thats sounds alright.. thanks v, i'd really appreciate that" (Y/N) smiled, their smile is so warming.. it made me feel this weird feeling in my chest.. that.. that i felt so long ago... what was it again?

meh, i dont remember what it was, but i smiled back at them, the same way they did to me
