"Superman would so win in a fight. He has superpowers. Batman is just a dude."

"No way Batman could easily kick Superman's ass. Have you ever heard of kryptonite? Superman down, Boom!"

"Yeah, but Superman is faster and can move out of the way."

"You are something else Freddy Freeman," I smile as we approach my locker. It was finally the end of the day. I was excited because I got to hang out with Freddy. I don't really see him during the day because he's only in 2 of my classes.

"Are you staying for dinner tonight," he asked as I was putting away my books.

"Of course, I can eat whatever Rosas cooking," I laugh.

"Actually, Darla is cooking tonight," he said with a slight smirk.

"Oh that's too bad, I actually have plans tonight," I unconvincingly lied with a slight smile.

"Oh really,"

"Yeah Freakman, she has better things to do."

Great. Just when my day couldn't get any better. Note the sarcasm. I rolled my eyes and turned around to face the two dipshits behind me.

"Brett, Burke," I said through a fake smile, "What do you guys want,"

"Just your number," Ew. Ew. Ew. Ew.

"Yeah, that's not going to happen." I said laughing, "You can leave now."

I turned back to face Freddy who had a slight smile on his face. I however could still smell them behind me. They have a very distinct cologne that makes me want to vomit in my mouth but the vomit might be offended by their smell so I hold it in.

"Oh come on sweetheart," Brett said as he put his arm around my shoulders. Freddy's smile instantly dropped. I quickly shoved his arm off.

"No," I stated firmly, "Well I'm leaving. Freddy," I turned to him. He seemed to be lost in his thoughts.

"Yup." He turned to face the door and we left the school not looking back at the idiots that have managed to not get held back because of their stupidity.

The walk to Freddy's house was quiet but it wasn't uncomfortable. We have been friends for as long as I can remember. He was always the one I could tell anything to, but in the past couple of months he has been different, and I just can't put my finger on why.
