Chapter 11: Spontaneous

"I don't think you'll regret your decision dad." Landon said to Sebastian as they just finished dinner while Sebastian sits on the couch and Landon follows

"And let's just say I go along with your plan, what's in it for me?"

"I get to be your eyes and ears twenty-four seven on keeping up with Amelia and her so-called boyfriend. I know you don't like him or put your full trust into him and I totally understand. If need be pops, I'll take him out for you." Landon said as Sebastian looked at him

"Really? You'd do that for me?"

"Of course, anything to stay in your good graces and make you happy. Overall I want you proud of me and I'm gonna prove to you that I can do whatever you want."

"Landon my boy of course I'm proud of you." Sebastian said as he put his hand on Landon's cheek
"You don't have to take anyone out to prove yourself to me, I'll love you regardless. Nothing will change the fact that you are my son."

"But this is what I want to do, I want to protect you. I've told you before that growing up I felt useless in your presence and now I have the power to change that. Please let me prove to you that I have what it takes." Landon begged as the twins walked in

"Our bad we didn't mean to interrupt." Lucas said as they were leaving

"No you two come back, I wanna have a talk." Sebastian said as the twins came back and sat across from him
"I want an honest answer, how do you two feel about Landon here becoming my personal bodyguard." Sebastian said as the twins eyes widened with shock

"What? I don't want to question your judgment dad but don't you think that's a bit much?" Mason said

"It wasn't my idea, it's Landon."

"Landon are you insane? You'll have it harder than anyone. Mason and I are just barely surviving and you want to willingly protect the Don?"

"Unlike you two I don't have a twin and I wasn't blessed with being the first born to carry on our legacy. I'm the afterthought of the family and I want to prove to not only dad but all of you that I am just as effective as everyone else."

"Landon, dad has the power to get you any job, career, hobby, whatever within a few minutes of a phone call and you want to do something like this? I understand your grievances and for that I respect it, but I won't accept this." Mason added

"Dad what do you think? Ultimately the decision is yours." Landon said

"I'll tell you what, I will make you a personal bodyguard but I will only use you for special occasions, you're not quite ready for all of that just yet but you are stubborn like me. But I do want you to know that I never intended any of this for you, I want you to graduate college and start your own legitimate business and make your own living separate from the family. You have a marvelous gift that I don't want you to give up on and no matter how ridiculous it may sound I will always support you because I believe you can make it happen." Sebastian said as Landon grabbed Sebastian's hand

"All I ever wanted was to make you happy and I promise you will be proud of me. Also I will finish college and start my own business like I told you before and it will be wonderful, but I'm glad I have your support as not only my dad but as the Don." He said as he kissed his pinky ring

"I can't believe I'm actually letting you talk me into this." Sarai said to Amelia as they were out on Amelia's patio while she was lighting up a blunt
"Your mom and dad are going to kill me if they find out I'm letting you do this!" Sarai stressed as Amelia giggles as she starts taking a hit

"You worry too much girl. My parents won't suspect a thing and they would automatically assume it was my brothers. Besides I'm here alone and Chris is out with the guys, so we can chill all night."
