My eyes widened with surprise, and for a moment, it felt like I was taken back by the question. "No, Tom. I would never do something like that." My voice trembled as I spoke.

"Mmm, just checking. They found a hair that was the same color as yours, and texture." He said, turning back towards the stairs. Shit, I'm so done now..

I sighed, trying to steady myself. "Tom, that's just a coincidence. Many people have hair that looks the same. It doesn't prove anything." I scoffed. He chuckled, walking up the stairs.

I looked up at Bill, he had a sad expression, his gaze focused on the wall. He's zoned out. I shook his arm a bit, he looked down at me with a frown. "Bill.. Why would I do that, I didn't even know who she was.." I lied, he hummed while nodding.

"I'm sorry I'm all over this murder, I guess.. I just feel bad y'know?" He mumbled. I nodded, rubbing his arm with my hand. "It's hard, I know." I frowned, laying my head back on his shoulder.

"Maybe you should stay at your place tonight." Bill mumbled, pursing his lips. I raised an eyebrow in confusion. Why would he want me to go to my apartment, does he not love me anymore..? "Why.. What'd I do?" I questioned, he shook his head slowly.

"I just need some alone time. I'll drive you there." He sighed, standing up. I felt my face heat up, my vision going blurry due to tears. "I can't go there.. Bill, you complete me! I can't go more than a day without you. Please don't.." I begged, sobbing at this point. He frowned, looking down at me.

He huffed, pulling me up, off the couch by my wrist. "You're lucky I love you." He smiled, pecking my lips. I chuckled, wiping my tears with my grey sleeve, it turned a darker color due to the wetness.

"Okay, but seriously. Would you like to go for a drive princess?" He smiled brightly, grabbing my hand and bringing my knuckles up to his lips, gently kissing down on them. I grinned, nodding quickly. "Then let's go." He pulled my wrist to the door.
