Assalamu alaikkum!!!

Here we go!!!

Date is a nutritious and delicious diet which is widely used all over the world.

Consumption of dates becomes very prominent in Muslim countries especially in the blessed month of Ramadan.

There will be hardly any dining mat at the time of Iftar meal which will be without dates.

Our Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم also liked (eating) dates so much.

In the Quran, dates are referred to in the context of abundance, as in Surah al-Mu’minun:

فَأَنشَأْنَا لَكُم بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ لَّكُمْ فِيهَا فَوَاكِهُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ

“With it We produce for you gardens of date-palms and grapevines, in which there are abundant fruits, and from which you may eat” (23:11)

When Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), Messenger of Allah, recommend us to do or eat something, we know it is a guidance from Allah SWT, our Creator, who knows what is good and bad for a human body!

Let's learn about some special characteristics and benefits of dates.
