I stood from my bed, hit the snooze button and threw off the covers. I stumbled my way to the bathroom to get ready for work, and as usual, I stopped by the coffee shop for breakfast.
"You here for the usual CJ?" Asked the barista, my cousin Lucy.
"You bet." I replied.
She then poured an espresso into a paper cup, and handed me a bagel.
"You should stop by Uncle Dunk's place, we're having a family dinner tonight." She asked.
"Yeah! I'll stop by, I have a quick task at the library after work, but I'll be there right after." I replied.
"Great! See you then!"
We waved each other goodbye, and I made my way to work.
